LEAVE ME GREEN at The Gym at Judson Begins Today

The Kindling Theater Company and Apartment 10C Productions present the World Premiere of Leave Me Green, written by Lisi DeHaas and directed by Jay Stull. Leave Me Green runs today, March 20 - April 11, 2015 in a limited engagement at The Gym at Judson, located at 243 Thompson Street between Washington Square South and West 3rd Street in New York City.

Takeshi Kawamura, Lee Breuer, PEN World Voices Festival and More Set for Segal Center's 2015 Spring Season

The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at the CUNY Graduate Center announces its Spring 2015 season of public programs. The Segal Center's 2015 Spring season offers ten new public events beginning on March 9 -- featuring contemporary theatre and performing artists from around the world -- including the annual three-day PEN World Voices International Play Festival, and retrospectives of the work of formidable American artists Lee Breur and Richard Foreman. Public Theater Sets Line-Up for 11th Annual UNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL; Runs Jan 7-18

The Public Theater announced the exciting international line-up today for the 11th annual UNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL, running January 7-18, 2015. This popular and highly-anticipated program of The Public Theater's winter season will include artists from across the U.S. and around the world, including Argentina, Iran, Switzerland, Spain, Brazil, and the United Kingdom. Curated by Co-Directors Mark Russell and Meiyin Wang, this year's UNDER THE RADAR will also mark the launch of the new Devised Theater Working Group which will present eight works-in-process as part of the festival's INCOMING! Series.

Sundance Institute Sets Projects, Artists for Fall Theatre Labs

Sundance Institute today announced the projects and artists that will participate in its two Fall artist development programs: the inaugural Playwrights Studio at Flying Point in Water Mill, NY (October 19-26), as well as the two-week Theatre Lab (November 30 - December 14) for musical theatre, ensemble-generated projects and solo work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA). Under the supervision of Artistic Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the initiatives are among the Theatre Program's five annual Labs and Residencies for theatre artists and part of the 24 artist residency labs across many creative disciplines Sundance Institute offers annually.

The Chocolate Factory Presents Remix of UNCLE VANYA, Mallory Catlett's THIS WAS THE END, Now thru 3/5

The Chocolate Factory is pleased to present the world premiere of Catlett's This Was The End, a performance in which four actors in their sixties and seventies attempt each night to get to the end of Uncle Vanya-in a last ditch effort to alter the outcome. In Chekhov's play, Vanya asks, 'What if I live to be 60?' This Was The End performs an answer. It uses the play to pose questions about how memory functions in the formation of the future. The cast features veteran downtown luminaries Black-Eyed Susan (Ridiculous Theater & John Jesurun) as Sonya, Paul Zimet (Living Theater & Talking Band) as Vanya, Jim Himelsbach (OBIE for The Foundry's Talk) as Astrov and Rae C Wright (OBIE for Sustained Excellence with The New York Street Theatre Caravan) as Yelena.

La MaMa's Gala Honors Michael Feingold, Patsy Tarr Tonight

Since its founding in 1961, La MaMa Experimental Arts Club has been a hub for risk-taking theater artists from around the globe. La MaMa will celebrate their 2013 season of performances with a gala honoring two pillars of arts journalism: former Village Voice critic Michael Feingold, and publisher Patsy Tarr of 2wice. Throughout their long careers, these two individuals have carved out a voice for the arts, championing countless artists working across platforms.

Lancaster Native Stars in Upcoming BLUE MAN GROUP Show at Hershey Theatre

Blue Man Group returns to Hershey Theatre from Friday, November 22 through Sunday, November 24. The theatrical tour features brand new content highlighted by classic Blue Men favorites. Hershey Theatre welcomes Lancaster native Benjamin Forster, as part of the upcoming Blue Man Group production. Forster graduated with honors from New York University with a double-major in Drama and Urban Design. Theater credits include John Jesurun's Liz One and Shadowland, Richard Foreman's Astronome and two grants from the Incubator Arts Project to self-produce. Film and television credits include: Satan Hates You, Hypothermia, Automatons and HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire.'

La Mama And Culturehub, Its Pioneering Art-and-technology Incubator, Announce 2013 Season Programming

La MaMa Experimental Theater Club, which for over 50 years has produced a uniquely global array of experimental theater, dance, performance art, and music, launched CultureHub in 2009 with its longtime partner the Seoul Institute of the Arts. La MaMa founder Ellen Stewart was a pioneering force in the movement behind the now-commonplace black box theater, an architectural shift that revolutionized the performing arts. CultureHub builds upon Stewart's legacy of innovation, implementing state-of-the-art telepresence technology to transform the black box for a new century and bring artists and audiences from various international locations together in performance, without having to be in the same physical space.

New York Live Arts Welcomes Molissa Fenley and Company, Now thru 10/5

New York Live Arts will present, as part of the Replay Series, works by Molissa Fenley spanning more than thirty years of her choreographic experiments in two varied programs tonight, October 2 - 5 at 7:30pm, with a lecture demonstration October 5 at 3:00pm. Fenley will present the world premiere of Found Object, the reconstructed solos The Floor Dances and Witches' Float, and the quartet Energizer, bridging her choreographic past with the present.
