Manhattan Theatre Club has just announced that Tony and Emmy Award winner Cynthia Nixon will return to MTC to star in the Broadway premiere of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play WIT by Margaret Edson, directed by MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow. The limited engagement of WIT will begin previews Thursday, January 5, 2012 and open Thursday, January 26, 2012 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.

The full company is announced for the final season of The Bridge Project featuring Kevin Spacey, artistic director of The Old Vic, in the title role of Richard III. The Bridge Project will open at The Old Vic in London on June 29, 2011 and then embark on an international tour including the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, Spain's Centro Niemeyer, Hong Kong Arts Festival, and Singapore Repertory Theatre, arriving at BAM's Harvey Theater in New York in January 2012. According to EW.com, Kiefer Sutherland and John Hurt will star in a Hulu-bound web series entitled, The Confession. Set to premiere in March, the series will be comprised of 10 five minute episodes. Sutherland will play 'a hitman who has a theological discussion with a priest about why his victims deserved to die.'

The Maldives have been added to the No Depression Festival lineup, as the Punch Brothers will unfortunately no longer be able to attend this year.
