Get ready to shake things up with the ALL SHOOK UP, featuring 25 of Elvis Presley's greatest hits and starring "Three's Company" star, Joyce DeWitt. ALL SHOOK UP takes the stage at North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) from Tuesday, August 14, through Sunday, August 26. Press night is scheduled for Wednesday, August 15 at 7:30pm.

Today in 1992, Crazy for You opened at the Shubert Theatre, where it ran for 1622 performances. Crazy for You is a musical with a book by Ken Ludwig, lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and music by George Gershwin. Billed as 'The New Gershwin Musical Comedy', it is largely based on the songwriting team's 1930 musical, Girl Crazy, but interpolates songs from several other productions as well. Crazy for You won the 1992 Tony Award for Best Musical. The Broadway production was directed by Mike Ockrent and choreographed by Susan Stroman.The cast included Jodi Benson as Polly, Harry Groener as Bobby Child, Bruce Adler as Bela Zangler, John Hillner as Lank Hawkins, Michele Pawk as Irene Roth, Jane Connell as Mother, and Beth Leavel as Tess.

The award-winning York Theatre Company began performances on Sunday, June 19, for the first two titles in its upcoming Musicals in Mufti Series, the York's acclaimed series of musical theatre gems in staged concert performances. Gretchen Cryer and Nancy Ford's late-70s Off-Broadway hit, I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It on the Road will play in repertory with the world premiere of the show's sequel, Still Getting My Act Together from June 19-26, 2011. Perfect Crime, New York's answer to The Mousetrap, was optioned for Broadway in 1980 while its author, Warren Manzi, was playing Mozart in the Broadway production of Amadeus. At the time, Manzi was the youngest American to have a play optioned for Broadway.
