Dixon Place has announced the 22nd Annual HOT! Festival of Queer Culture, running July 2 - August 3, 2013.

Dicapo Opera Theatre, whose recent production of Frank Loesser's Most Happy Fella garnered enormous critical success and sold-out performances, will bring back the musical this June for a limited run of four weeks. Opening night takes place this evening, June 14th, 8 p.m. with a special guest appearance by comedian Mo Rocca as one of the 'chefs' performing the musical's popular 'Abbondanza' song.

Guys and Dolls, subtitled "A Musical Fable of Broadway" is set in the colorful world of New York City in the mid 20th century. It is considered one of the greatest musicals of all time. Guys and Dolls is populated with gangsters and gamblers, missionary dolls and beautiful showgirls, and has one of the greatest musical scores in the history of American theatre. Including Frank Loesser hits; "Luck Be A Lady", "Guys and Dolls", "If I Were A Bell", and "Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat".

Dicapo Opera Theatre and Opera Moderne will present the world premiere of Marrying Mozart with four performances beginning Thursday, December 13, 2012. Subsequent presentations take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 14, 15 & 16, 2012. Thursday performances begin at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., and the final performance on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Just in time for the holidays, Westchester Broadway Theatre (One Broadway Plaza, Elmsford, NY 10523) will present Miracle on 34th Street from tonight, November 29 through December 31. Based on a holiday tale written by Valentine Davies and made famous by the movie of the same name, Miracle On 34th Street has music composed by Doug Smith and book and lyrics by Vern Stefanic.

In a performance that 'embodies an exquisite existential tension suspended between self and poetry,' John Farrell's recitation of T. S. Eliot's poetic masterwork brings us into the calm eye of Eliot's turbulent philosophical and religious questing. See it at Philadelphia's Quintessence Theatre, tonight, November 28-December 2nd.
