New York vocalist Andrea Wolper celebrates her birthday and her Mezzrow debut on Tuesday, January 15th, with sets at 7:30 pm and 9:00 pm. Wolper will appear with pianist John DiMartino and bassist Ken Filiano.

Intimate Nights: The Golden Age of Cabaret was the theme of the Third night of The 28th New York Cabaret Convention held at JALC Rose Theater. It was a grand eventing and the enthusiastic audience got to enjoy the artists quite well during the 3 1/2 hours of music.

The Department of Music and Dance at Swarthmore College announces a new performance series that will bring prominent guest artists to campus to collaborate with students in the Department of Music and Dance.  The inaugural year of the "Featured Artist Series" presents performances and collaborations with Janis Siegel, David Kim, the Jasper String Quartet, and an Indian music ensemble featuring tabla player Samir Chatterjee.

With her new CD release Photographs, veteran New York jazz and cabaret singer Mary Foster Conklin puts her own stamp on the material, which is part interpretation and part the limited range of her often smoky alto. Accompanying musicians—led by John diMartino on piano--are top notch with especially deft use of brass.
