William Rounds, Cello, Presents Pairs: A Program Of Duos

USM faculty cellist William Rounds performs Oswaldo Golijov's stunning solo cello work Omaramor then joins with USM alumna and former faculty member Elisabeth Marshall, soprano, presenting a collection of poems by Anne Bradstreet with music by James Kallembach. PSO principal oboist Amanda Hardy is then featured for a performance of an oboe/cello duo by Marilyn Zupnick. Finally, Rounds will perform the famed cello/bass duo by Gioachinno Rossini with PSO principal bassist Joseph Holt. Three of the works have been published within the last 20 years, making this a most relevant program for our time.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater Announces 2018/19 Season 65th Anniversary Season!

Artistic Director Mark Clements and Managing Director Chad Bauman are thrilled to announce Milwaukee Repertory Theater's 65th Anniversary Season which will be the largest season in over a decade featuring 15 productions across four venues with nearly 700 performances including expanded programming in the Stiemke Studio.

I MOVED A MOUNTAIN Comes to Milwaukee

Music, Military, and Family. These are the three most important things to Jimmy Weber. I MOVED A MOUNTAIN is about the places he's been and the people he's met along the way. Throughout the course of this moving and well crafted show, Jimmy shares memories about his family and the inspiration behind his poignant song, I Moved a Mountain. The song was written about Jimmy's grandfather and the tremendous impact this inspirational man had on Jimmy's life. 

Chris Collins and Boulder Canyon Return To The State Theatre With A Tribute To John Denver

John Denver was one of the top recording artists of an era. He also was an active and recognized humanitarian and environmentalist. Denver's songs such as "Take Me Home, Country Roads", "Rocky Mountain High", "Annie's Song", "Back Home Again" and scores of other beloved melodies were an introspection of love, nature, family, and home. Chris Collins, an award-winning singer/songwriter, who leads the band of Boulder Canyon, carries on the musical legacy that John Denver gave to the world. Their tribute makes a return stop at the State Theatre on Saturday, March 3.

IBMA Distinguished Achievement Award Winner Louisa Branscomb to Release New Album This Spring

In 2017, she received an IBMA Distinguished Achievement Award. This year, she will be inducted into the Alabama Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame. With such accolades, it would be understandable if Louisa Branscomb chose to rest on her laurels at the comfort of her Alabama farm. Instead, the multi-award winning artist and songwriter has been busy in the studio for months, working on a new recording of songs she has written or co-written.

BWW Exclusive: Sutton Foster & Hugh Bonneville Join Mormon Tabernacle Choir for Magnificent Christmas Concert

Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster and television and film star Hugh Bonneville were the special guests at this year's magnificent Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert. The performances were presented free of charge as a gift to the community Thursday, Dec. 14 through Saturday, Dec. 16 at the impressive 21,000-seat Conference Center. The concert will air nationwide on PBS and BYUtv during the 2018 holiday season, and a DVD and album will also be released. BroadwayWorld was generously given unprecedented access to the production, including the opportunity to speak with Foster, Bonneville, and conductor Mack Wilberg.

Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre to Ring in the New Year with Performance by Matilde Bernabei

Back by popular demand, Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre will once again open its doors for a New Year's Eve performance! This year we would like to welcome back RMRT alumna Matilde Bernabei! An incredibly talented singer and songwriter, Matilde graced the Rocky Mountain Repertory stage back in 2013 and again this past fall for Almost Heaven: Songs of John Denver. Some of her favorite roles include Judy (A Chorus Line), Kelli Mangrum (Hands on a Hardbody), Woman (Ring of Fire) and Hagrid the Pirate (Peter Pan).
