This fall, expect the unexpected Off-Broadway with a limited run production of THE HUMMINGBIRD'S TOUR by Margaret Dulaney.

Imagination Stage is offering new and exciting opportunities this Fall semester, which continue to inspire creativity through theatre arts classes that nurture, challenge, and empower young people of all abilities. The Fall 2015-2016 agenda features Big Fish as the IStage Performance Ensemble production, the Fall Class Sampler, and thrilling new classes beginning as early as September 15.

BIG FISH is a new Broadway musical featuring music and lyrics by Tony nominee Andrew Lippa (The Addams Family, The Wild Party) and a new book by esteemed screenwriter John August (Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).

Music Theatre Wichita continues its 44th summer season with Andrew Lippa and John August's Big Fish the musical,  a stage adaptation based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and subsequent Tim Burton film.

Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) announces Bucks County's own John Augustine to return (The Hummingbird's Tour, 2014, Director) to the Bucks County Playhouse stage as 'Larry' in Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY, running May 29-June 21. Augustine will play alongside Broadway's Candy Buckley (Scandalous, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Cabaret) as 'Joanne'.

As yet another sign of the Chicago area's dominance in the world of the American musical theater, I need only point to the fact that it is undoubtedly the only market that has hosted three different productions of the Andrew Lippa musical "Big Fish," at three different tiers of the industry and three different geographical locations.

'Be the hero in your story and the world will be yours....' Edward Bloom consistently uses these words to inspire his son Will while he was growing up. Defining what a hero is, for Edward and his son Will, plays an epic role in First Stage's Big Fish. This shortened World Premiere for Young Audiences production retells the 2013 Broadway musical adapted from a 1990's Daniel Wallace novel with stunning results. Milwaukee's legendary Jonathan Gillard Daly becomes a theatrical hero when he transforms into Edward Bloom, husband, father and master storyteller based upon the musical's book and film written by John August.

A larger than life, show-stopping Broadway production arrives at First Stage this May. In Milwaukee's Todd Wehr Theater. Big Fishdelivers big theatrical energy because John Whiting, who worked as Associate Director for the 2013 Broadway show, now directs and choreographs this World Premiere for Young Audiences and a one act version adapted from the original musical.

Tickets are now available for the upcoming production of the Iowa Premiere of BIG FISH: THE MUSICAL, produced by Adolescent Anarchy and partnering with Des Moines Young Artists Theatre. Performances run May 1-10 at the Viking Theatre at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. Big Fish is a musical with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and a book by John August.
