On Saturday, July 16, the Broadway cast of ROCK OF AGES, including Rebecca Faulkenberry, Dan Domenech, MiG Ayesa, Mitchell Jarvis, Adam Dannheisser, Cody Scott Lancaster, Michele Mais, Josephine Rose Roberts, Paul Schoeffler, Tessa Alves, Ericka Hunter, Jenifer Foote, Tony LePage, Michael Minarik, Andre Ward, Emily Williams and Jeremy Woodard celebrated 1000 performances of the hit musical on Broadway.

After a breif hiatus, ROCK OF AGES re-opened at the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway last night, March 24. The five-time Tony Award nominated musical played its final performance at The Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday, January 9, 2011. The production moved houses to make way for RAIN, which had to vacate it's home at the Neil Simon Theatre to accommodate Catch Me If You Can. The producers of the hit musical ROCK OF AGES announced today that frontman for the 80's sensation Twisted Sister, Dee Snider, will make his Broadway debut in the role of 'Dennis' for an 11-week limited run, October 11- December 24, 2010 at The Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street).

The National Touring cast of ROCK OF AGES, starring Constantine Maroulis, will make their first national TV appearance on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' on Monday, October 4, 2010. The cast will be accompanied by the ROCK OF AGES band ARSENAL featuring Joel Hoekstra (Night Ranger) on guitar. 'The Tonight Show' airs weekdays on NBC at 11:35pm.

Last night, September 27, REO Speedwagon frontman, Kevin Cronin, rocked Broadway with the band's classic hit Can't Fight This Feeling (backed by ROA's band Arsenal) and was joined by all of REO Speedwagon for a Q & A immediately following the evening performance of ROCK OF AGES. MiG Takes on 'Jaxx' with Maroulis in ROCK OF AGES Tour; Calveri, Shannon et al. Join

As BroadwayWorld has reported, Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis will perform for the last time as 'Drew' on Broadway Thursday, September 9 before headlining the First National Tour of ROCK OF AGES, debuting in Chicago on September 21. Joey Taranto will take over the role of 'Drew' at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street). Additional cast changes include Mitchell Jarvis playing his final performance as 'Lonny' on Sunday, September 5 and taking over the role of 'Stacee Jaxx' from James Carpinello, who will play his final performance on a date to be determined. Jay Klaitz, recently of Lend Me a Tenor, to begin performances as 'Lonny' on Monday, September 6. BroadwayWorld has learned that joining Maroulis on tour are Joey Calveri, Erika Shannon, Angela Brydon, Casey Tuma and Burn the Floor's MiG Ayesa, who will be assuming the role of Stacee Jaxx.

Real life New Jersey couple, 27 year olds Sharyn Krum and Paul Fontana, lived out their Broadway fairytale by getting married on stage at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre yesterday, August 9, 2010. They found common ground over their shared love of Rock of Ages and were married by the newly ordained, and their favorite, Rock of Ages character 'Lonny' (played by Mitchell Jarvis). The Broadway cast were guests at the ceremony and reception.

On Friday, November 13th at 11AM, the cast of the hit Broadway musical ROCK OF AGES joined with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation to celebrate the show's support of music education in our nation's schools. This past spring, ROCK OF AGES donated $30,000 to the Foundation through a month-long ticket promotion, which enabled the VH1 Save The Music Foundation to grant a full set of new musical instruments to jumpstart the music education program at PS/IS 111 this school year.

ROCK OF AGES Cast Extends Through Summer 2010, Lenk Joins 9/14

The cast of the five-time Tony nominated hit musical, ROCK OF AGES, will continue to rock eight times a week through summer 2010. Tom Lenk joins the cast as 'Franz,' the role he originated in the Los Angeles and Las Vegas productions, beginning Monday, September 14, 2009 for a six month limited engagement. Mr. Lenk is best known for his portrayal as 'Andrew Wells' on television's 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer.' Mr. Lenk is taking over for Wesley Taylor, who will play his final performance on Sunday, September 13. Mr. Taylor is leaving to join the cast of the upcoming production of The Addams Family.
