Steppenwolf for Young Adults (SYA) begins its 2016/17 season with The Burials, a world premiere by acclaimed playwright Caitlin Parrish, directed by Erica Weiss. Inspired by the enduring Greek tragedy, Antigone, the production explores the aftermath of a mass shooting and how one family and one community respond to the tragedy in unique ways. The US Premiere of WASTWATER by Simon Stephens, directed by Robin Witt, will run July 7 - August 13, 2016 at Steep Theatre (1115 West Berwyn, Chicago, IL 60640). BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

First Look 2015 features six staged readings, providing an early look at works-in-progress from some of the most dynamic playwrights in the field. The mission of First Look is to develop new plays for future production at Steppenwolf and other theaters across the country.
