Westchester Broadway Theatre dusted off the original version of Rogers & Hammerstein's South Pacific. The show is based on the Pulitzer Prize- winning book "Tales of the South Pacific" by James A. Michener. This is not a revival of the production done a few years ago at Lincoln Center Theater.
Perhaps Kander and Ebb's best musical, apart from Chicago, Cabaret has it all: a fine book, deliciously diverse characters, dynamite music and a subtext that will not quit. The subtext being: either compromise or get out if you value your life, the latter, to be sure, the wiser. This is Berlin, circa 1930, before Hitler, but just as Nazi pressure hits the fan. Crown City Theatre's new revival production, with a small ensemble of 11, has a completely new look with slick direction from Gary Lamb.
CBS' detective show UNFORGETTABLE seems to be just the opposite of its title. According to EW, CBS has yet again canceled UNFORGETTABLE after having previously canceled it in May 2012. The show began in 2011 and had three seasons.

Continuing 82 years of continuous Community Theater, the Bergen County Players (BCP) presents Neil Simon's comedy, 45 Seconds from Broadway. Directed by Iris Weinhouse, 45 Seconds from Broadway will be performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell from October 25th - November 15th, 2014. Shows will be on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm (with the exception of October 31st) and Sundays at 2pm. Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg is proud to present the musical The Fantasticks to open their 2014-2015 Season. This longest-running New York musical opened in 1960 at The Sullivan Street Theater in New York City. Following a brief hiatus after 42 years, the musical was reopened in 2006 and is currently running there.
