Take Michael Khachanov, for example. Born in Azerbaijan, he grew up (from the age of 7 to 17) in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and now calls Los Angeles as his hometown. As an undergraduate at Berkeley, he majored in business and economics, and now he finds himself in the midst of USC's MFA three-show repertory of plays while he and his classmates prepare for showcases in New York City and LA.

Organized around New York City metropolitan area performance activity at the nexus of disability and dance, the series features leading artists working at that nexus in conversation with their presenters. The goals of the series are to drive awareness and interest in dance made by and with disabled artists, capture and share lessons learned by featured artists, and generate dialogue and partnerships among attendees.
