Treehouse Shakers has announced its upcoming productions of 'Animal Rhytms - Two African Folktales' and 'Let's Talk About It.' Performances begin May 4th at the Ailey Citigroup Theater in New York City.

The Ailey Extension and E.D. Entertainment in association with Divine Rhythm Productions, is proud to present Ladies Get Down (LGD), an event created by hip hop's well-known and respected, Robin Dunn (E.D. Entertainment) celebrating women in hip hop, on Sunday, March 28 from 2pm - 9pm. In honor of Women's History Month, the event will feature 8 dance workshop classes taught by New York's top female hip-hop artists, including Robin Dunn, Violeta Galagarza, Kim Holmes, Honey Rockwell, Miriam Morgan, Marjory Smarth, Snapshot & Wandeepop and Tweetie, and will take place at The Ailey Studios located at The Joan Weill Center for Dance (405 West 55th Street at 9th Avenue).

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater announces programming for an encore New York season at BAM's Howard Gilman Opera House from June 10th - 20th, the culmination of a 20-city U.S. Tour celebrating Judith Jamison's 20th year as artistic director.

Judith Jamison, Artistic Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, will be announced as the Honoree of the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award at a ceremony on March 22, 2010 at The Joan Weill Center for Dance in New York.

Sharon Gersten Luckman, Executive Director of Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation since 1995, is this year's recipient of the University of Wisconsin Alumni Achievement Award; the highest honor bestowed by the University's School of Education.

The internationally acclaimed Elisa Monte Dance will present another exhilarating season of dance featuring the World premieres of 'Continuum,' 'By Your Side' and 'Pockettangle' as well as revival performances of 'Dreamtime' and 'Absolute Rule,' 'Shattered,' Treading,' & 'Hardwood' when the company bounds into New York City's The Ailey Citigroup Theatre (at the Joan Weill Center for Dance/405 West 55th Street at 9th Avenue) on Thursday, February 25th (8PM) with two programs of performances slated through March 7th.
