The 13th Street Repertory Theater Presents World Premiere of PERVERSION

The 13th Street Repertory Theater presents Perversion, a world premiere allegory of modern America written and directed by Judson Blake.  The cast of eight includes Harry Bainbridge, Daniel Cuff, Tony Del Bono, Dana Jesberger, Irina Kaplan, Robert Lewis, Andrew Nordin and Jenn Susi.  Thirty performances will be staged at the 13th Street Repertory Theater, 50 West 13th Street in NYC 10011 from March 30-April 30, 2017.

With a wide selection of great movies by directors including Ingmar Bergman, Joe Dante, John Huston, Stanley Kubrick, Vincente Minnelli, and more, Museum of the Moving Image presents a holiday edition of its popular ongoing series See It Big!, from November 19 through December 24, 2016. The season opens this Today with back-to-back screenings of Tim Burton and Henry Selick's The Nightmare Before Christmas, screening in Dolby Digital 3-D; Barry Levinson's heartfelt, autobiographical Avalon, chronicling generations of a Jewish family in Baltimore; and Hannah and Her Sisters, Woody Allen's funny yet philosophical family dramedy starring Mia Farrow, Barbara Hershey, Dianne Wiest, and Michael Caine-with the last two films centered around Thanksgiving meals.

Kim Rubinstein to Direct A TASTE OF HONEY at Odyssey Theatre

Kim Rubinstein, director of last season's award-winning revival of Anna Christie, returns to the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble at the helm of one of the great defining and taboo-breaking plays of the 1950s. A Taste of Honey is set to open on Sept. 24 starring Eric Hunicutt, Gerard Joseph, Kestrel Leah, Leland Montgomery and Sarah Underwood Saviano.

PANTHER HOLLOW to Play Arcade Comedy Theater, 1/15

From 1992 to 1996, David Lee White was a local actor and director in the Pittsburgh theatre scene and was part of the University of Pittsburgh's MFA program. On Friday, January 15th at 8:00 PM, White will proudly return to Pittsburgh to perform his one-person show Panther Hollow at the Arcade Comedy Theater at 811 Liberty Avenue. Theatre School at DePaul University to Present JOE TURNER'S COME AND GONE

The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone on the Fullerton Stage at The Theatre School at DePaul University.  The production, directed by Phyllis E. Griffin, premieres on Friday, November 6, and runs through Sunday, November 15, 2015. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on November 4 and 5, at 7:30 PM. 

STAGE TUBE: On This Day for 10/16/15- Angela Lansbury

Happy Birthday Angela Lansbury! Lansbury - who returned to Broadway in this year's revival of THE BEST MAN - has enjoyed an unprecedented career, first as a star of motion pictures, and then as an award-winning stage actor in New York and London. She appeared as Madame Armfeldt in the 2009 revival of A Little Night Music, and before that as Madame Arcati in the 2009 revival of Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit, for which she won her fifth Tony Award, as well as Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards. She performed in 2006 in Terrence McNally's Deuce, for which she was also nominated for a Tony Award. She made her Broadway debut in 1957 as Bert Lahr's wife in Hotel Paradiso. In 1960, she returned to Broadway as Joan Plowright's mother in the season's most acclaimed drama, A Taste of Honey, by Shelagh Delaney. A year later, she starred in her first musical, Anyone Can Whistle. Lansbury returned to Broadway in triumph in 1966 in Mame, for which she won her first Tony Award.

Planet Ant Theatre will kick off its 2015-16 season September 25 with a new original comedy sequel Seance 13 featuring the original cast & crew from the 2011 hit Seance 4 in an all new horror spoof. The season continues through July 2016 with more original comedy, award winning published works and showcase shows from the winners of Box Fest and Colony Fest.
