Olga Merediz, Gregory Diaz IV, and Jimmy Smits have joined the cast of the highly-anticipated film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's IN THE HEIGHTS.

Vulture reports that Stephanie Bratriz will play Carla in the IN THE HEIGHTS movie. The film is set for a 2020 release and will film uptown this summer. She joins the recently announced Anthony Ramos, Melissa Barerra, Corey Hawkins, Leslie Grace, and Jimmy Smits.

Lights up in Washington Heights! As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the movie adaptation of the Tony-winning musical In the Heights has officially found its cast! In honor of the occasion, we've getting to know the film's residents of Washington Heights! Check it all out below!

Lin-Manuel Miranda took to Twitter to announce the leads for the highly anticipated film adaptation of In The Heights! Anthony Ramos will star as Usnavi, Melissa Barerra as Vanessa, Corey Hawkins as Benny, and Leslie Grace as Nina. Earlier today it was announced that Jimmy Smits will play Nina's father, Kevin.

Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jimmy Smits is in talks to join the film adaptation of In the Heights, according to Collider. 

Directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon, the beloved comedy will officially open on Tuesday, June 11 and will run through Sunday, June 23.

Michael Luwoye and Barry Sloane are set to co-star in NBC's legal drama pilot Bluff City Law (working title), according to Deadline.
