Friends of the Davis, a non-profit, volunteer group created to support the Davis Performing Arts Programs for Youth at the Columbus Performing Arts Center (CPAC), will present a one night only benefit concert on Friday, June 5, showcasing a trio of local talent-jazz pianist Bradley Sowash, Throat Culture - A Mouth Band, and the D3 Musical Theatre Ensemble.

This Summer, the Royal Albert Hall opens its doors for its edgiest and most unique exhibition yet - LOAD. For the first time ever, artists commissioned by the Royal Albert Hall in partnership with creative pioneers Daydream Network, will turn the walls of the historic venue's Loading Bay into a gallery of graffiti and street artwork. On Monday 22 June, and for one day only, the Royal Albert Hall's Loading Bay, located three floors underground, will be open free to the public to view this remarkable display.

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, will present Mary Testa and Emily Skinner in special one-night-only events, at 220 East 4 Street, between Avenues A & B. On Sunday, April 5 at 7pm two-time Tony Award nominee Mary Testa will perform her new one-woman show, Sleepless Variations, which tells a tale of one woman's sleepless night of fears, fantasies, and dreams, expressed through a cycle of songs by composers as varied as Jimi Hendrix, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Bj?rk.

The Whiting is proud to present Nine-Time All-Ireland Fiddle Champ and Riverdance show stopper, Eileen Ivers along with her band Immigrant Soul live on Saturday, March 28 at 8pm. Called a 'sensation' by Billboard magazine and 'the Jimi Hendrix of the violin' by The New York Times, Eileen Ivers breaks new ground with her band Immigrant Soul by blending African and Latin percussion and bass, Irish instrumentals, and soulful vocals.

On Saturday March 14, at 8 PM, the Riverdale Y will present a quartet of internationally known jazz performers. Nicki Parrott, jazz bassist and vocalist is making her second appearance at the Y. She will be joined by Derek Smith, the world's most recorded commercial/jazz pianist; Randy Sandke, noted trumpeter, composer and arranger, whom The Wall Street Journal dubbed 'the greatest trumpeter nobody knows'; and Joe Ascione, who has joined the three in concert on his birthday! Ms. Parrott, who plays regularly with legendary Les Paul at Manhattan's Iridium Club came to New York from her native Australia in 1994 on an Arts Council Grant to study with acclaimed bassist Rufus Reid. She has performed all over the world with jazz greats like Ken Peplowski, Bucky Pizarelli, Skitch Henderson and Warren Vache. She appears at major jazz festivals throughout the US and abroad and is a favorite on the cruise ship circuit. She also plays Klezmer music and appeared at the Riverdale Y last year with noted Klezmer violinist Alicia Svigals as well as touring Europe with David Krakeur. Randy Sandke has also appeared in clubs and festivals worldwide and is known for his virtuosity. He has recorded over 20 albums with musicians ranging from Benny Goodman, Cab Calloway and Dick Hyman to Mel Torme, Rosemary Clooney, Art Garfunkle and Barbara Carroll. His work has been heard on the soundtracks of many well known films including five Woody Allen pictures. As a composer he has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and his works have been featured at Carnegie Hall and Avery Fischer Hall; more than 50 of his compositions have been recorded.

The biggest 'oldies but goodies' doo-wopp concert in decades will be coming to Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) on Saturday night, March 7, as seven major acts from the 1950's and 1960's come together on stage for HARVEY ROBBINS' ROYALTY OF DOO-WOPP AND ROCK 'N ROLL SHOW. The president and founder of the Doo-Wopp Hall Of Fame Of America? has provided oldies but goodies to doo-wopp music lovers with concerts in Rhode Island and New England theaters since 1985, but the upcoming lineup at PPAC looms as one of the most fascinating ever.

Now, with the release of West Coast Coolin', Norman Brown consolidates his reputation as a premier recording and performing artist with a collection of ten tracks -- written and co-written by the artist - that take the sonic adventure of Just Chillin' into breathtaking new spheres.
