Vulture today announced the lineup for Vulture Festival, a weekend of high-profile events bringing the entertainment site to life, celebrating the best of today's television, comedy, film, podcasts, and more. The pop-culture extravaganza, taking place May 19-20 at Milk Studios in New York City, includes panels, screenings, performances, and live podcast recordings. Additional events will be announced in the coming weeks.

Last night at the 29th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, Ryan Murphy presented Jim Parsons with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award with a surprise appearance by Parsons' 'Boys In The Band' cast mates Matt Bomer, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Robin De Jesus, Brian Hutchinson, Charlie Carver, Michael Benjamin Washington, and Tuc Watkins. Comedy Central today announced a comprehensive development deal with Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson with a 'first look' at content created and/or developed for television by Glazer and Jacobson, both together and independently. The deal with the multitalented creators, stars, directors and showrunners of the hit series Broad City, which will return for its fifth and final season in early 2019, also extends across all of parent company Viacom's television networks. Three projects already in development at Comedy Central under the new deal include Mall Town USA, Platinum Status, and Young Professionals.

The Paley Center for Media today announced Emmy Award-winning writer, producer, and director Ryan Murphy will join beloved entertainer Barbra Streisand in conversation at the opening night of PaleyFest LA 2018 on March 16. The PaleyFest Icon Tribute to Ms. Streisand marks the first time she has been honored for her body of work in television.

According to Entertainment Weekly,  Jim Parsons has been announced as the latest honoree at this years GLAAD Media Awards. Parsons joins previously announced Britney Spears who is also being honored.
