The Marriott Theatre has done it again! This north suburban theater in the round (well, square, really) has a long history of producing the first Chicago area version of Broadway musicals newly released for licensing, usually soon after the end of a national tour. And so it is with the light-as-a-feather 'The Drowsy Chaperone,' the 2006 Tony-winning Broadway musical (it won for Best Book and Best Score, among others) that opened last Wednesday evening up in Lincolnshire..... Rivera, Hearn and Jacoby Star in Signature's 'The Visit'

The Visit, which will star two-time Tony Award® winners Chita Rivera and George Hearn with Mark Jacoby, features music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and book by Terrence McNally, based on the play by Friedrich Dürrenmatt, adapted by Maurice Valency. The production will be choreographed by Ann Reinking and directed by Frank Galati. The Visit will play from May 13 through June 22 in The MAX Theatre. (more...)
