Later this week, 106.7 LITE FM will kick off its highly-anticipated, 15th annual lunchtime theatre summer series, '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park.' The 2015 program will present the best of Broadway, FREE to the public, on six consecutive Thursdays beginning July 9 at 12:30 p.m. ET on the Bryant Park Stage. BroadwayWorld has learned that It Shoulda Been You will play its final performance on Broadway, Sunday, August 9, 2015 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47th Street).
The York Theatre Company and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series will present four new works during the month of June: Orville and Wilbur Did It! a play byDavid Zellnik with songs by Mr. Zellnik and Eric Svejcar; Juliet and Juliet, based on a concept by Natalie Tenenbaum and Sean Patterson, with book and lyrics by Mr. Patterson, and music by Ms. Tenenbaum; Elsie Janis and the Boys with book & lyrics by Carol Crittenden and music by John T. Prestianni; and Grounded for Life with book by Pat Hazell and Bill Habeeb, lyrics by Lawrence Goldberg and Mr. Hazell, and music by Mr. Goldberg at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). The readings are open to the public with a suggested donation of $5.00.
