A 90th Birthday party for Marilyn Maye became an impromptu cabaret performance that will forever remain in the musical memories of the Palm Beach folks that were present at Dick Robinson's party for Ms Maye. 

There was a lot of love in the RRAZZ ROOM at Mizner Park Cultural Center in Boca Raton with Deborah Silver last night, and BroadwayWorld was there. Check out photos from the event below!

"If nominations for the first couple of Palm Beach County music were held, vocalist Jill Switzer and multi-instrumentalist Rich Switzer would be near the top of the list of candidates," according to Florida Weekly.

It takes one to know one and radio Legend Dick Robinson, a hero to all who love the Great American Songbook presented  another legend, Steve Tyrell, a true icon of the music world with the prestigious Legends Award at the Essey Campus Theatre at Palm Beach State College last night. It was Legends Radio's 4th Birthday Celebration and radio hosts Jill & Rich Switzer, Walt Pinto, Lorna O'Connell, and Mike McGann were also heard 'live' in the Essey Theatre, which was filled with listeners of Legends 100.3FM. 

This 2018 season, the talent performing at The RRazz Room at Mizner Park Cultural Center is a diverse mix of world class artists. This is what it must have been like in the golden years of Las Vegas.  The darkened room, an off-stage announcement 'Ladies and Gentleman, The Sands Hotel is proud to present'... then starts the glorious harmonic blaring arrangements of a Count Basie sounding orchestra blasting the intro..next…..casually strolling out, one of the coolest looking singers ever, drink in hand, turns to his musical director and asks 'How long have I been on'?  Deana Martin brought you back to those years when her dad and 'Uncle Frank' had the world on a string at Dick Robinson's Legend Radio's Gala Concert in Palm Beach Florida.  It was a a spectacular concert show of 'Deana Sings Dino' celebrating her father's 100th birthday. The proud daughter brought along her 18-piece orchestra to let the fans hear what it sounded like back in the day.  It's in the genes, and Deana Martin with an effervescent personality and brilliant command of a stage, vocally reminds you of all the music that still thrills millions. You even got to see some touching family home movies and legendary performance clips of Dean & Jerry.  Legend Radio's event also celebrated it's 3rd birthday event and Dick Robinson is not just preserving the Great American Songbook, he's creating a whole new chapter.

This week marks the one-year anniversary of the start of "A New York Minute with Jim Caruso," a weekly showbiz radio segment heard at 8:20am Wednesdays on "The Morning Lounge" with Rich and Jill Switzer on Legends 100.3 FM radio and online.  The fifty-two segments have celebrated Broadway shows (Hamilton, Bright Star, Fully Committed, Fiddler on the Roof, Something Rotten, School of Rock, The Color Purple, The Phantom of the Opera, Waitress, On The Town, etc.), cabaret, and off-Broadway events.

The Colony Hotel - which The Palm Beach Post has hailed as "probably the best place for cabaret on the planet" - is presenting next week the octogenarian singing legend MARILYN MAYE, who can also be found gracing the cover of the March/April issue of Cabaret Scenesmagazine.
