This Fall National Sawdust has announced the New Works Commissions-world premieres of commissioned works by 20 winning composers performed by the JACK Quartet and National Sawdust Ensemble, and a series of 9 weekly broadcasts.

National Sawdust has announced the 20 winners of its inaugural New Works Commission, which was announced in June 2020 as the culmination of its pioneering Live@NationalSawdust Digital Discovery Festival.

Heidi Duckler Dance's (HDD) new work Stay Awake, is a part of HDD's MoveWell@MLK artist residency, and takes place on Saturday, August 24 at 7:30 pm at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital, Lot A.

In its Centennial year, the Los Angeles Philharmonic continues to grow in its commitment to supporting the creation of new music and nurturing young composers through two programs: National Composers Intensive (NCI), for composers ages 18 to 30, and the Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellowship Program (CFP) for high school-aged composers. For the first time, the NCI program collaborates with New York City-based International Contemporary Ensemble (the Ensemble) to work with seven composers who will have the opportunity to workshop their pieces, both in New York and in Los Angeles, culminating in a performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Directed by Allen MacInnis, the iconic musical will be presented on the Mainstage from today, November 11 to December 19, opening on Thursday, November 14.

In response to its overwhelming popularity, Young People's Theatre announced today that Annie (TYA), originally slated to run from November 11th to December 19th, will now be extended through Holiday Week, running until December 29th, 2013. YPT subscribers will have a brief advance window to purchase tickets on Tuesday, October 15th before the extension week goes on sale to the general public, Wednesday, October 16th.
