Young People's Theatre Extends ANNIE (TYA) Through 12/29

In response to its overwhelming popularity, Young People's Theatre announced today that Annie (TYA), originally slated to run from November 11th to December 19th, will now be extended through Holiday Week, running until December 29th, 2013. YPT subscribers will have a brief advance window to purchase tickets on Tuesday, October 15th before the extension week goes on sale to the general public, Wednesday, October 16th.

"We're so thrilled at the demand for tickets! We are delighted to be able to bring this iconic musical to a whole new generation of young people and their families." commented Allen MacInnis, YPT Artistic Director and director of the production.

Featuring musical theatre legend Louise Pitre as Miss Hannigan and two-time Juno-nominee Sterling Jarvis as Oliver Warbucks, along with newcomer Jenny Weisz (RBC Emerging Artist) in the title role, Annie (TYA) will be presented on the Mainstage beginning November 11, with a break from December 20th to 25th, resuming Holiday Week - December 26th to 29th with two shows daily.

Some of Broadway's most popular show tunes, including Tomorrow, It's the Hard Knock Life and Easy Street, are featured in this Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) version of the renowned musical which also stars Jess Abramovitch, Mary Antonini, Richard Binsley, Jessie Cox (RBC Emerging Artist), Ramona Gilmour-Darling, Natalia Gracious (RBC Emerging Artist), W. Joseph Matheson, Dale R. Miller, Nicole Norsworthy (RBC Emerging Artist), Natasha O'Brien and Shawna Van Omme.

Directed by Allen MacInnis, Annie (TYA) boasts a stellar creative team, including Musical Director

Diane Leah, Set & Props Designer Teresa Pryzbylski, Costume Designer Melanie McNeill, Choreographer Nicola Pantin, Lighting Designer Michael Walton, Sound Designer Michael Laird and Stage Manager Kristin McCollum.
