Broadway dreams will come true for 47 young, aspiring performers when they take the stage to perform in The Broadway Dreams Foundation's 'Take It to the Limit' NYC Showcase at Queen of the Night at the Diamond Horseshoe (Paramount Hotel, 235 W 46th Street) on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Under the direction of acclaimed director/choreographer Otis Sallid (Smokey Joe's Cafe, Black Nativity), all 47 students will perform for the Broadway industry's top casting directors, agents, directors, and producers in the heart of New York City.

The Submission, A Mid-South premiere by Jeff Talbott will take over the Next Stage at Theatre Memphis April 4 and run through April 19, 2014. A white male playwright submits a race-based play to a national theatre competition, but when it is selected for production he is faced with producing the fictitious African-American female whose name he invented as the playwright.
Broadway PR firm Polk & Co.'s founder and president, Matt Polk, has just announced that Tom D'Ambrosio, Wayne Wolfe, Frances White and Colgan McNeil will be joining the public relations, media strategies and social media firm. The Eagle Theatre, located at 208 Vine Street in Hammonton, NJ, has assembled a diverse cast for its upcoming production of Smokey Joe's Cafe. Despite a reputation of being located in a rural community, five out of the nine cast members commute over the Ben Franklin Bridge to rehearse. Additionally, the stage manager, assistant stage manager and the entire booth crew hail from Philadelphia. The rest of cast comes from Collingswood, Toms River, Vineland and Cherry Hill.
