Beth Behrs, the star of CBS's 2 BROKE GIRLS, leads the cast of the world premiere of Halley Feiffer's comedy A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of New York City at MCC Theater. Behrs is joined by Obie winner Lisa Emery, most recently seen on the hit Netflix drama JESSICA JONES, as well as stage veteran Jacqueline Sydney and Erik Lochtefeld. Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts announces the 25th Annual Summer Gala, celebrating Bay Street's Silver Anniversary, totake place in Sag Harbor on the Long Wharf on July 9, 2016 benefiting Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. The evening will include a special performance of scenes from productions from the past 25 years, as well as a silent auction, cocktail party, Live 'Fantasy Auction,' dinner and dancing.

Rajiv Joseph's Guards at the Taj, produced by the Atlantic Theater Company, received the Obie Award® for Best New American Play, which is accompanied by a $1,000 prize. Legendary actor/dancer/choreographer Carmen de Lavallade and renowned playwright A.R. Gurney each received a special Obie Award® for Lifetime Achievement. Obie and Screen Actors Guild® Award-winning actress Lea DeLaria returned as host of this year's ceremony, which was held at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street). For the first time, the Fred and Adele Astaire Awards have explored recognizing excellence in dance, movement, and choreography off-Broadway. Twenty eligible shows in the non-profit and commercial off-Broadway arenas met the eligibility requirements and were considered.
