IRTE Goes to Court with SMALL CLAIMS Tonight

IRTE, the Improvisational Repertory Theatre Ensemble, continues its third season of improvised shows. After its hit season opener THE SCARY (which Casual Comedy News called 'a terrifying trifecta of laughter, looneys, and even live music'), the NYC-based ensemble of comedy actors and writers returns with its own unique brand of original themed, character-driven improvisational shows performed in rep. tonight, May 17, IRTE opens its second show at The Producers Club, Small Claims. In this courtroom, size matters! Your neighbor ran over your mailbox, your friend won't pay for that concert ticket and your ex left and took your dog. Don't get mad. Take 'em to court IRTE style!

After another highly successful season of full houses, stand-out fest appearances and glowing praise, the NYC-based ensemble of comedy actors and writers returns with its own unique brand of original themed, character-driven improvisational shows performed in rep. Tonight, April 12, IRTE begins its official residency at The Producers Club with THE SCARY, Improvised Stephen King. Your dead pet stands by a shining dark tower in Maine...Watch in terror as the twisted members of IRTE craft your suggestions into a story worthy of the KING of Horror, himself! Dare you face... THE SCARY?!!

No Name Comedy Variety Show Set for Ottos In Manhattan Tonight

'No Name... & A Bag O' Chips' comedy / variety show producer, Eric Vetter recently announced two April 2014 shows at Otto's in Manhattan with the first - tonight, April 11th - to feature comedians Carole Montgomery (Nick at Nite's 'Funniest Mom in America' ) Miguel Dalmau (Hoboken Comedy Festival) and Grant Cooper (Morrison Motel) 'No Name' house band The Summer Replacements' including Carl (BabyFreak) Fortunato) and Fernando (Dr. Sandman) Morales Gonzalez will perform a full set old school R & B and rock beginning at 8:30pm.

This Saturday, March 19, Purple Rep will present Happy Naked Funtime: A Burlesque Extravaganza, an event to benefit their upcoming project, Gay Plays for Straight People (and also gay people) which will feature the revival of Mariah MacCarthy's The All-American Genderf*ck Cabaret running in rep with the world premiere of Larry Kunofsky's The Un-Marrying Project, May 8-30 at The Paradise Factory (64 East 4th Street between 2nd Ave and Bowery).
