Due to popular demand, American Opera Projects and LivelyWorks have added a second performance of Two Premieres and a Reunion, a special evening of music by composer Conrad Cummings Wednesday September 10th, 2014. The second performance will take place at 9:00 p.m., immediately after the initial 7:30 p.m. performance. Both performances will be held at The National Opera Center, 330 Seventh Avenue, Manhattan.
Five Boroughs Music Festival (5BMF) is excited to open its 2014-2015 season with two presentations of "A BANNER BICENTENNIAL: 200 Years of American Song." In its second collaboration with The Casement Fund Song Series, 5BMF will present this brand new program of American Song in two historic NYC venues: Flushing Town Hall in Queens, and Federal Hall in Lower Manhattan.

Fresh off their 2014 Grammy win for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance, this genre-bending group will join us for a program of vocal works which showcase the ensemble's wide vocabulary of singing techniques. The program will feature works by William Brittelle, Elliot Cole, Merrill Garbus, Judd Greenstein, Missy Mazzoli, and Sarah Kirkland Snider, as well as RFOT's own, Pulitzer Prize winner Caroline Shaw.
5BMF is thrilled to welcome masters of the French Baroque LES DELICES to our artist roster this March. The ensemble will bring their new program Conversations galantes to NYC for the first time, with performances at King Manor Museum (Jamaica, Queens) on March 14th (Manhattan) on March 15th.The program features French Rococo works by 18th century composers including Philidor, Guillemain, Rameau and others.

American Modern Recordings, American Modern Ensemble (AME)'s lively outpost for superbly produced studio albums, issues Robert Paterson's finely crafted and expertly performed Winter Songs and other vocal works on Tuesday, December 3. To fete the occasion, AME presents an evening of selected winter songs from Paterson and others at the Dimenna Center's Cary Hall (450 W 37th St, New York, NY 10018) on December 3 at 8PM.
Five Boroughs Music Festival's 2013-2014 season continues with two presentations of the internationally-renowned BRASIL GUITAR DUO in Staten Island and the Bronx. Duo members João Luiz and Douglas Lora, winners of the prestigious Concert Artists Guild International Competition, will perform an innovative program of works by Rameau, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Villa-Lobos, Gismonti, Lobo, and Pereira, as well as original compositions and arrangements by Lora and Luiz themselves.
Three NYC arts organizations specializing in song and chamber music are teaming up in October to present a weekend-long celebration of the vocal works of Benjamin Britten, who would have turned 100 years old this year. Noted American composer Russell Platt will have a banner year in the 2013-14 season, highlighted by the world premieres of three new works, a U.S. premiere that is also the first performance of his music by a major American orchestra, and a recording of a recent concerto, as well as performances of his works in New York City, Washington, DC, and on tour.
