World Premiere: Modern Love and Marriage with a Twist in THE SIEGEL by Michael Mitnick

South Coast Repertory will produce the world premiere of The Siegel by Michael Mitnick (March 24-April 23, Segerstrom Stage). The cast is led by Ben Feldman and Mamie Gummer and features Amy Aquino, Matthew Arkin, Devon Sorvari andDominique Worsley. The Siegel, directed by Casey Stangl, is part of the Pacific Playwrights Festival, the theatre's annual new-play showcase. 2017 Pacific Playwrights Festival Marks 20th Year at South Coast Repertory

The lineup for South Coast Repertory's 20th Pacific Playwrights Festival (PPF), April 21-23, includes works from playwrights Amy Freed, Lucas Hnath, Donald Margulies and Lauren Yee. Nothing says the holidays like South Coast Repertory's production of A Christmas Carol, an Orange County family favorite since 1980. John-David Keller directs the Charles Dickens' classic, adapted by Jerry Patch, with performances on the Segerstrom Stage Nov. 25-Dec. 24. Hal Landon Jr. is Ebenezer Scrooge, the "Bah! Humbug!" miser who has a yuletide change of heart. Tickets are available at www.scr.org.

18th Annual Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival Set for This Weekend in Steamboat Springs

The Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival (perry-mansfield.org/events/3/new-works-festival) now in its 18th year, brings performing arts professionals together in the Rocky Mountains to continue Perry-Mansfield's founding principle of nurturing new talent through new work. This year's festival, taking place this weekend, June 12-13 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, will feature new works from some of America's most prestigious theater companies: Atlantic Theater Company, Denver Center for the Performing Arts Theatre Company, Primary Stages, andSouth Coast Repertory. The companies will showcase four different new works in partnership with Perry-Mansfield.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) announce recent recipients of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Initiative commissions for Manhattan Theatre Club. The commissioned writers are Jeff Augustin (Little Children Dream of God), Courtney Baron (A Very Common Procedure) and Juliana Nash (Murder Ballad), Nell Benjamin (The Explorers Club), Madeline George (The (curious case of the) Watson Intelligence), Tom Holloway (And No More Shall We Part), Nathan Jackson (Broke-ology), Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (An Octoroon), Greg Pierce (Slowgirl), and Alexandra Wood (The Initiate).

THE TEMPEST, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, MR. WOLF and More Set for South Coast Rep's 2014-15 Season

South Coast Repertory's 2014-15 season moves from the Mediterranean island in Shakespeare's The Tempest to Cornwall in a new take on the classic Tristan & Yseult, from Mecca in Zealot by Theresa Rebeck to an updated look at the Land of Oz in OZ 2.5 by Catherine Trieschmann. SCR will present classic, contemporary and new works, including Mr. Wolf by Rajiv Joseph, Of Good Stock by Melissa Ross and Peter and the Starcatcher by Rick Elice. Season subscriptions are available now; single tickets will go on sale on Aug. 1.

New Exhibit Traces the History of South Coast Repertory Theatre

A new exhibition traces the history of South Coast Repertory, Orange County's Tony Award-winning theatre. The display is on view Oct. 12-20 at South Coast Plaza, during the mall's regular business hours. The display, in the Jewel Court rotunda (by Macy's), includes cut-out characters in costumes from past productions and large color panels that tell the story of SCR through photos and text.

NewSCRipts Series Features Rajiv Joseph's 'MR. WOLF' at South Coast Repertory

A new work by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph looks at how the miraculous recovery of an abducted child impacts not only the family, but the victim. The play, MR. WOLF, is featured in a staged reading at South Coast Repertory on Monday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. This SCR commission is part of the theatre company's NewSCRipts reading series.
