Wanda Widdles Petitions Clark County to Rename Forgotten Street in Honor of The Gazillionaire of ABSINTHE Las Vegas

In celebration of National Boss's Day, the hapless assistant of The Gazillionaire of ABSINTHE at Caesars Palace, Wanda Widdles aims to recognize the greatest boss in the world by launching a petition for Clark County to rename a forgotten street in his honor. The campaign, which launched today, will place The Gazillionaire at the center of a one-woman, block-by-block initiative urging the county to rename one of the city's forgotten cul-de-sacs as Gazillionaire Court. Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2017-18 season with An Enemy of the People by Henrik Ibsen, newly translated from the Norwegian by Paul Walsh, directed by James Bundy, now through October 28 at Yale University Theatre (222 York Street). Opening Night is tonight, October 12.

The plaque on the Friars Club building (The Monastery) reads Jerry Lewis. On the main floor it's the The Frank Sinatra Dinning Room. Downstairs we have the Billy Crystal Bar and upstairs are the Milton Berle, Barbra Streisand, Ed Sullivan, and William B. Williams Rooms. Today a very important room often frequented by Friars had a plaque installed.

Schimmel Center presents AMERICAN DANCE SPECTACULAR!

The Schimmel Center presents American Dance Spectacular! on Saturday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m., exploring the history of American popular dance throughout the 20th century, including the Charleston, Lindy hop, jitterbug, twist, voguing, and more. The performance is directed, co-written and created by Daniel C. Levine (Broadway's Les Mis rables, Chicago, and Mamma Mia!) with choreography by Al Blackstone (Fox's So You Think You Can Dance), music direction by Bryan Perri (Broadway's Wicked and Next to Normal), and book by Susan Batten (Lifetime's Showing Roots) together with six Broadway dancers backed by three vocalists and a live band.

getTV Remembers Legendary Comedians Jerry Lewis And Dick Gregory With A Special Programming Bloc Of TV Appearances

getTV will honor the memories of legendary comedy stars Jerry Lewis, who died August 20 at age 91, and Dick Gregory, who died August 19 at age 84, with a special programming bloc of television appearances by Lewis, Gregory and other comic superstars on Sunday, September 3, beginning at 10PM ET/9 CT.  Lewis who rose to fame as singer/straight man Dean Martin's partner, then went onto write, produce and direct himself in a run of successful slapstick comedy films while raising money and awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Gregory was a groundbreaking African-American standup comedian and satirist who became a leading figure in in the civil rights movement of the 1960s.
