Barn Theatre of Montville Presents JERRY'S GIRLS, Now thru 11/30

The Barn Theatre of Montville, New Jersey will be presenting 'Jerry's Girls', a musical revue of songs from award-winning composer/lyricist Jerry Herman. Performances will be tonight, November 8, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30 at 8pm; and on November 9, 10, 17, 24 at 2pm. Tickets are $24 (senior/student tickets are $22 on matinees only).

Happy Birthday Andrea McArdle! As 'Annie,' McArdle became the youngest performer ever to be nominated for a Tony Award as Best Lead Actress in a Musical. Also on Broadway, she starred in the Jerry Herman musical Jerry's Girls alongside Carol Channing and Leslie Uggams; she portrayed the sassy Smoking Car, Ashley, in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express; and starred as Margy Frake in State Fair; as Fantine in Les Miserables and, most recently as Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's Lend Us Your Ears play reading series concludes its 2013 offerings with a reading of The Madwoman of Chaillot on Monday, November 11th at 7:00 p.m. Written by Jean Giraudoux and adapted by Maurice Valency, this eerily prescient, eccentric post-war comedy pits the common people of Paris against a conglomerate of financiers determined to destroy the City of Lights and profit from the reputed oil fields lying beneath its streets. The reading will take place at The Shakespeare Theatre's Main Stage, the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Ave. (at Lancaster Road) in Madison. The evening will also include a post-play talk-back session with the director, cast, and audience. The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!), by Eric Rockwell and Joanna Bogart, makes a comeback to the Theatre Memphis Next Stage November 8 - 23, 2013, with a return engagement already planned for January 10 - 19, 2014. The original sold out production at TM in 2007 was directed by Bennett Wood and he returns as well to reprise that role. Gary Beard is coming back as Musical Director, too. Pam Hurley is choreographing.

Performance Network to Present JERRY'S GIRLS, 11/14-1/5

During the holiday season Performance Network Theatre presents a new take on the larger than life Broadway musical "Jerry's Girls", a revue of the work of Jerry Herman who wrote the music for shows such as "Hello, Dolly!", "La Cage Aux Folles", and "Mame". "Jerry's Girls" is directed by Carla Milarch and stars an all female cast including award-winning musical theatre actress, Naz Edwards, from November 14 - January 5, 2014 as well as a special New Year's Eve performance followed by a champagne toast at midnight.
