In a recent feature with US Weekly, music legend Cher revealed that she has her sights set on a part with theatrical origins. 'I have watched the 1958 film 'Auntie Mame', with Rosalind Russell, at least 100 times. I would love to play that part in a remake.' The film was based on the Patrick Dennis novel and 1956 play of the same title, which was later turned into the 1966 musical- MAME. Here's to hoping that the diva will play the role on Broadway!

The Children's Theatre at Way Off Broadway has been a part of The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, a leader in the region's theater community and one of the area's premiere entertainment venues, since 1996 when it opened with an original production of Sleep Beauty. That was the beginning of what would become one of the most popular family entertainment spots in Frederick. To this day, the Children's Theatre at Way Off Broadway is the area's only children's lunch theater, offering a family-friendly meal before each show.

And then its phone system went down. And then its online ticketing system crashed, leaving patrons with literally no way to buy the tickets they so desired. Today we are talking to a Tony Award-winning performer known around the world for her iconic original performance as Eponine in both the West End and Broadway editions of international stage sensation LES MISERABLES, copiously convivial chanteuse Frances Ruffelle.
