Producers Jeffrey Richards, John N. Hart Jr. and Jerry Frankel, in association with the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.), have announced that the limited engagement of the critically-acclaimed revival of The Glass Menagerie, which was originally on sale for 17 weeks only, through January 5, 2014, has extended and will now play its final performance on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th Street). Previews began Thursday, September 5th, and Opening Night was Thursday, September 26th.

Producers Jeffrey Richards, John N. Hart Jr., and Jerry Frankel, in association with the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.), have announced a student rush policy for the 17-week limited engagement of the revival of The Glass Menagerie at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th Street). Previews begin Thursday, September 5th. Opening night will be Thursday, September 26th. The production will star multiple Tony and Emmy Award-winner Cherry Jones as Amanda Wingfield, film and stage star Zachary Quinto as Tom, two-time Tony-nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger as Laura, and Brian J. Smith as Jim, the Gentleman Caller.

Producers of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, the winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Revival, are pleased to announce that Tracy Letts' Killer Joe will be heading to Broadway for the first time. The Broadway premiere of Killer Joe will reunite Pam MacKinnon, winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Director of a Play (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) and Tracy Letts, winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Actor (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?). The production is slated to hit Broadway in 2014.

After yesterday's news that Canadian pop group Barenaked Ladies will no longer be writing songs for the musical adaptation of ANIMAL HOUSE, The Calgary Herald reports that the band's lead singer Ed Robertson said he and the group are 'disappointed that things didn't work out' with the show and that they 'ultimately couldn't give any more time to the project' due to a new record and tour.

UPDATE: Executive Director of the American Theatre Wing, Heather Hitchens, and Executive Director of The Broadway League, Charlotte St. Martin, released the following statement on the results of the meeting: 'The Tony Awards Administration Committee met, considered the infraction and have issued a serious warning to the producers of 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' The infraction which involved using abbreviated quotes from the critical reviews, were consistent with the overall intent of those reviews, and therefore the committee determined that no further action would be taken on this issue.'
