Performances began this week on May 27th and continue through Sunday, June 21st at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue (at Lancaster Road) in Madison. Christopher Durang's Tony Winning Chekhov spin receives a handsome production.

Paper Mill Playhouse presents its winter comedy, Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. This touching and wickedly hysterical Tony Award-winning best play features Broadway, television and film veterans: Philippe Bowgen (Spike), Gina Daniels (Cassandra),Carolyn McCormick (Masha), Mark Nelson (Vanya), Michele Pawk(Sonia) and Jamie Ann Romero (Nina). Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike will be directed by Don Stephenson. Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike will run eight times a week at the Millburn, New Jersey, theater, now through February 15, 2015. The official press opening night is Sunday, January 25, at 7:00pm. The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey in Madison now has 'Much Ado About Nothing' by William Shakespeare onstage through December 28th. Directed by Scott Wentworth, this classic is a wonderful production for you to enjoy this holiday season.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's 2014 Season will conclude with the Bard's beloved battle of wits, Much Ado About Nothing. Renowned Stratford Festival artist Scott Wentworth will perform 'double duty,' directing the production and playing the staunch bachelor Benedick, opposite his real-life wife Marion Adler as the feisty Beatrice. This production will celebrate the winter holiday season, filled with music and dance that evokes the end of World War II, White Christmas era. Performances begin December 3rd at the F.M. Broadway veteran Mitzi Hamilton, one of the dancers inMichael Bennett's original developmental workshop that provided the inspiration for the character of Val in A Chorus Line, directs and choreographs the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical at Surflight Theatre, now playing through September 14.

It seems right that Surflight Theatre closes it's 2014 season with A CHORUS LINE. After 65 years as a New Jersey theatrical institution, Surflight must have hosted hundreds of such auditions, giving that first 'big break' to scores of performers.

A superb production of 'The Alchemist' is now onstage at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey through August 31st. Written by Ben Jonson and adapted by Bonnie Monte, this rarely produced show is a completely entertaining comical farce about greed and deception.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presents Ben Jonson's The Alchemist, a rowdy tale of con artists and their gullible prey. This production marks the premiere of Artistic Director Bonnie J. Monte's new adaptation of the 17th century work. Performances begin August 6 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue in Madison. Tickets start at $25 for all preview performances.
