ROCKY hit Broadway last night, officially opening with stars Andy Karl and Margo Seibert at Broadway's historic Winter Garden Theatre. The show features an original score by Stephen Flahertyand Lynn Ahrens and a book by Thomas Meehan and Sylvester Stallone, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the 1976 Oscar-winning Best Picture, Rocky. The production is directed by Alex Timbers, with choreography by Steven Hoggett, and Kelly Devine. BroadwayWorld was there for the full night of festivites and you can check out photos from the curtain call below!

The new Broadway musical ROCKY began previews in a big way on Thursday, February 13th! Following the first performance, the one and only Sylvester Stallone stepped back into the ring to celebrate the show's launch with the cast and we were there to capture the appearance.

The first preview of the new Broadway musical ROCKY (presented by Stage Entertainment USA and Sylvester Stallone), set for tonight, February 11, has been canceled; it was announced this morning. ROCKY will now begin previews on Thursday, February13, with no performance originally scheduled for tomorrow.
