Roundabout Theatre Company will soon present the upcoming Off-Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim & James Lapine's Tony Award-winning Into the Woods, featuring the original McCarter Theatre Center/Fiasco Theater cast, including: Jessie Austrian as 'Baker's Wife,' Noah Brody as 'Lucinda, Wolf & Cinderella's Prince,' Paul L. Coffey as 'Mysterious Man,' Andy Grotelueschen as 'Milky White, Florinda & Rapunzel's Prince,'Liz Hayes as 'Cinderella's Stepmother & Jack's Mother,' Claire Karpen as 'Cinderella & Granny,'Jennifer Mudge as Witch,' Patrick Mulryan as 'Jack & Steward,' Ben Steinfeld as 'Baker' and Emily Young as 'Little Red Ridinghood & Rapunzel.' It is my pleasure to announce that the upcoming production of Into The Woods at the Laura Pels Theatre will feature the original McCarter Theatre Center/Fiasco Theater cast. These ten extraordinary actors are Jessie Austrian (Baker's Wife), Noah Brody (Lucinda/Wolf/Cinderella's Prince), Paul L. Coffey (Mysterious Man), Andy Grotelueschen (Milky White/Florinda/Rapunzel's Prince), Liz Hayes (Cinderella's Stepmother/Jack's Mother), Claire Karpen (Cinderella/Granny),Jennifer Mudge (Witch), Patrick Mulryan (Jack/Steward), Ben Steinfeld (Baker), and Emily Young (Little Red Ridinghood/Rapunzel). As you know, Noah Brody and Ben Steinfeld (co-Artistic Directors, along with Jessie Austrian, of Fiasco Theater) are also directing this thrillingly imaginative iteration of the musical.

Rocky star Andy Karl and his wife Orfeh just released a new mash-up song called 'No Time for Pain (A Tribute to Rocky Broadway)' with a photographic flashback on the run of Rocky, which just closed on Broadway. This video features the Rocky instrumental theme, with vocal talents from Orfeh and Andy Karl.

Broadway's new ROCKY musical plays its final performance at the Winter Garden Theatre today, August 17th, after 28 previews and 188 regular performances. ROCKY received its world premiere in fall 2012 in Hamburg, Germany, where it continues to play to packed houses. The musical opened on Broadway on March, 13, 2014. Rocky may be on it's way out, with its final performance at the Winter Garden Theatre scheduled for Sunday, August 17th, but some of the show's ensemble cast is just starting to heat up. The Broadway musical of Rocky has been knocked out by a declining box office and will play its final performance at the Winter Garden Theatre on Sunday, August 17th after 28 previews and 188 regular performances. Stage Entertainment is currently exploring future productions across the U.S. as well as internationally.

Center Stage previously announced that its acclaimed digital theater project My America has become a feature length film, which had its premiere on July 4, 2014, exclusively through streaming service Fandor. A special screening is set for tonight, July 9, at the IFC center in New York City.

NEW DRAMATISTS, Tony Honor recipient and the nation's premiere playwright development workshop, just honored five-time Tony Award winning director/choreographer Susan Stroman with their 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award at its 65th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute. Among the Stroman collaborators offering tributes was Theatre World Award winning actor Jason Danieley (Next to Normal, Curtains, The Full Monty, Candide) and New York City Ballet's Tiler Peck performing a selection from Little Dancer, Taylor Mac performing a selection from The Last Two People on Earth, Tony nominee Marin Mazzie performing from Bullets Over Broadway; and Contact collaborator John Weidman, Karen Ziemba performing a selection from Crazy For You, and cast members from The Scottsboro Boys: John Cullum, Brandon Victor Dixon, Shavey Brown, Max Kumangai, James T. Lane, Deandre Leatherbury, J.C. Montgomery, Justin Prescott, Clinton Roane, and David Bazemore. The event co-chairs are Letty Aronson, Roy Furman, and Julian Schlossberg.
