Jennifer Lim, Julyana Soelistyo and More Set for Signature Theatre's GOLDEN CHILD

Signature Theatre (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) has announced that tickets are now on sale and full casting is set for GOLDEN CHILD by David Henry Hwang and directed by Leigh Silverman. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production runs October 23 through December 2, 2012, with a November 13 opening night in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

The 68th annual THEATRE WORLD AWARDS, which will take place on Tuesday, June 5th at 2 pm at The Belasco Theatre, 111 West 44th Street, NYC., will include special performances by Broadway favorites Brian Stokes Mitchell, Michael Cerveris, Howard McGillin and Stephanie Umoh. The by-invitation-only ceremony will present Theatre World Awards to 12 actors for their Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut Performances during the 2011-2012 theatrical season. The event also includes presentation of the 4th Annual Dorothy Loudon Award for Excellence. This year The Theatre World Awards will have ASL interpretation.

SMASH's Brian d'Arcy James (SHREK, NEXT TO NORMAL) and Jennifer Lim (CHINGLISH) recently participated in a staged reading of the Broadway play CHINGLISH at The Greene Space. This particular evening also featured a conversation with Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of the Public Theater in NYC and readings by David Henry Hwang and additional readers Francis Jue and BD Wong. In this video, James and Lim perform a hilarious excerpt from CHINGLISH.

Nominations for The 57th Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Feinstein's at Loews Regency by Drama Desk Award winners Brian d'Arcy James and Donna Murphy, with Death Takes a Holiday, Follies and Nice Work If You Can Get It leading the pack. Stage and screen stars Kristin Chenoweth & Jim Parsons will announce this year's Tony nominees tomorrow morning, May 1, 8:30am EST at New York Public Library. The Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards, which are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from the Beacon Theatre, on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 10, 2012.

Greene Performance Space at WNYC and WQXR, announce the fourth event in the series, TCG Playwrights in Conversation: Discussions and Readings - An Evening with David Henry Hwang. In celebration of TCG's 50th anniversary, events featuring conversations with TCG authors and featured artists are being presented at The Greene Space, WNYC and WQXR's innovative broadcast studio and performance venue.
