AMERICAN PSYCHO, the American premiere of a new musical based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis -- which celebrates the 25th anniversary of its publication this March -- has just begun rehearsals for Broadway. The new musical will begin performances at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street) on Thursday, March 24, 2016. The Opening Night is scheduled for Wednesday, April 20, 2016. As BroadwayWorld reported earlier today, GRAMMY and Tony Award-winning musician Duncan Sheik's American Psycho: Original London Cast Recording will be available on March 25, 2016 via Concord Records. The album's release will coincide with the show's U.S. premiere on Broadway, with previews beginning March 24 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater at 236 West 45th Street in New York City.

It was 20 years ago when Sarah Jessica Parker starred Off-Broadway in A.R. Gurney's off-beat comedy about a man and his dog, SLYVIA. Just last night her hubby Matthew Broderick had the honor of opening in SLYVIA on Broadway, joined by Annaleigh Ashford as Sylvia, with Julie White and Robert Sella.
