Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) will celebrate its annual Gala tonight, March 27, 2014 at BB King's Blues Club in Times Square, hosted by the vivacious singer, band leader, and multiple MAC Award winner, Terese Genecco. Since bursting onto Broadway, Newsies has set and broken seven Nederlander Theatre house records on its way to becoming the highest-grossing show of the 2011-12 Broadway season. The show received 23 major theatrical nominations - including eight Tony Award nods - and won Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Score and Choreography. According to Deadline, stage and screen star Debra Monk has signed on to join her former Broadway co-star, Mary-Louise Parker, in NBC's upcoming comedy pilot FEED ME. The pair previously appeared in PRELUDE TO A KISS and RECKLESS onstage together.
