NBC has released the first promo for its midseason comedy 1600 PENN starring Book of Mormon's Josh Gad. Described as 'Modern Family' meets 'The West Wing', the comedy is from executive producers Jason Winer ('Modern Family'), Gad and Jon Lovett (former White House speechwriter). According to ETonline, Universal Pictures has confirmed that actor Josh Gad will co-write the upcoming sequel to the 1980's comedy 'Twins.' The film, to be titled TRIPLETS, will see the return of original stars Eddie Murphy, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito.

NBC's THE VOICE will decisively declare a winner when the intense vocal competition series concludes its third season with a live two-hour finale on Tuesday, December 18 (9-11 p.m. ET). The finale also will be preceded with a live, 90-minute final performance episode of 'The Voice' on Monday, December 17 (8-9:30 p.m.ET) -- which will be followed by a sneak preview of NBC's new comedy series 1600 PENN; (9:30-10 p.m. ET).

NBC today announced changes to its 2013 primetime mid-season schedule highlighted by the premieres of three new series, including comedy '1600 Penn,' from one of the architects of 'Modern Family'; an intriguing drama 'Deception' (formerly 'Infamous'); and producer Eva Longoria's big reality relationship show 'Ready for Love.' In addition, several of the network's biggest hits will return, including 'Smash' (February 5), which this season will feature The second season of SMASH will include a growing list of high-profile guest stars, including Nikki Blonsky, Jesse L. The play will run off-Broadway at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) with previews beginning tonight, October 13th and continue until Sunday, October 28th. The production will have it's official opening on Wednesday, October 17th at 8PM. This distinctive revival, co-directed by Shashi Balooja and Maria Torres will be the first to incorporate live streaming video and dance. Maria Torres will also choreograph.

This summer heats up with the season five premiere of the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning, critically acclaimed legal thriller, DAMAGES, starring Emmy Award-winner Glenn Close and Emmy Award-nominee Rose Byrne, tonight, July 11 at 9 p.m.
