Yonder Window Theatre Company and Parity Productions have announced that writer/performer Romy Nordlinger's Places is among the selected performances for this year's East to Edinburgh at 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director). Places will play 6 performances in July before traveling to Edinburgh, Scotland for the 2017 Fringe Festival where it will have 25 performances over the month of August (4th - 27th).  

Theatre for a New Audience presents Simon Godwin's (Associate Director, London's National Theatre) Measure for Measure, William Shakespeare's dark comedy about justice, faith, power, sex and family. Measure for Measure is the first time Godwin is directing Shakespeare with an American company. The production runs this weekend, June 17, through July 16 at Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Place) in the Brooklyn Cultural District.

Join us in the park! Curtain Players is pleased to present Ara Vito's ALICE: A variation on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland in partnership with Westerville Parks & Recreation. Alice: A Variation on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland is a new take on Carroll's classic tales crafting a story of a young girl named Alice Pleasance Liddell and the relationship she develops with Charles Dodgson (alias Lewis Carroll). Overcoming her parents' stifling indifference, Alice discovers her creativity through adventures on the other side of the looking glass, conquering her fears as she approaches a vision of her true self.  The play is framed within a conversation between Carroll and Liddell, who was the inspiration for the fictional Alice character. Performances run June 15th thru 24 th at 8:00 pm.  Bring lawn chairs and/or blankets as it's all free lawn seating (donations accepted). Parking will be available in the park along Alum Park Drive (accessible from W. Princeton Summer Theater's 2017 season opens next Thursday, June 22ndth with Stephen Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson's Pippin. A multiple Tony Award-winning musical, Pippin is a mystical coming of age tale of adventure. A mysterious troupe, spearheaded by the enigmatic Leading Player, follows a young prince as he sets out to discover his purpose in the world. Schwartz's iconic music establishes Pippin as a breathtaking story that explores what it means to live a truly extraordinary life.

The 2016 Lucille Lortel Award-winning play, "Grounded," a contemporary drama about a US Air Force fighter pilot who is grounded by an unexpected pregnancy, will be staged at Westport Country Playhouse, from July 11 through July 29.
