According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hugh Grant is returning to the small screen for his first major TV role in 20 years. 

A unique one-off outdoor performance of The Last Ship, that will include its creator Sting who will be performing live alongside the cast, is to be held in Newcastle later this month, alongside the very river that helped inspire and shape the show.

The Center for Ballet and the Arts at New York University (CBA), the first international institute devoted to the creation and academic study of ballet, today announced the 27 artists and scholars who will serve as CBA Fellows in the 2018-19 academic year. The group - which represents The Center's largest and most far-reaching cohort yet - features distinguished individuals in a range of disciplines, including scholar Cecile Feza Bushidi, lighting designer Brandon Stirling Baker, choreographer Chase Brock, choreographer, filmmaker, and dancer Pontus Lidberg, and scholar Janice Ross, among others.

Cadence Theatre's latest offering is Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' Obie Award-winning play APPROPRIATE-a wildly subversive and disturbing piece of theatre that is anything but appropriate. Given the perfectly cluttered stage, patrons walking into the theatre may feel they are about to bear witness to a live episode of "Hoarders," but what unfolds over the next two-and-a-half hours is far more chaotic.

 Cleopatra Entertainment has acquired the North American rights to the new adventure film CHINA SALESMAN, produced by China's Wanda Corporation, which was written and directed by Chinese filmmaker Tan Bing. The film, with a reported budget of over $20 million, stars Mike Tyson, Steven Seagal, Dong-Xue Li, Janicke Askevold and Li Ai, with Eriq Ebouaney rounding out the cast. CHINA SALESMAN premieres theatrically this spring and had previously been a high profile title at last year's AFM.

BC BEAT, an evening that sells out and is yet intimate, dynamic, and playful, continues to stimulate new collaboration between choreographers, performers, directors, composers, and producers like no other event in New York City. Just ask Patrick McCollum. He was introduced to Steven Hoggett as a possible performer for his BC BEAT piece in 2011. Following their BC BEAT process, McCollum worked nonstop with Hoggett as an Associate Broadway Choreographer and this year, made his Broadway choreographic debut with THE BAND'S VISIT. McCollum is one of the many Broadway artists who have performed and choreographed at BC BEAT and have made the most of the opportunity at hand.

The stage is set and the time is now to get tickets for A Brief History of Women. It is being performed as part of the Brits Off-Broadway 2018 at 59E59 Theaters. This production is brilliantly written and directed by Alan Ayckbourn and features a superb cast.

Porchlight Music Theatre announces the final extension of its latest production, Memphis. Memphis must close Saturday, June 16, following that evening's 8 p.m. performance. Now playing through June 16 at The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street, features  book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music and lyrics by David Bryan and  is directed by Daryl D.  Brooks, assistant directed and choreographed by Christopher Carter, music directed by Jermaine Hill and assistant choreographed by Reneisha Jenkins.

A special program of DCINY (Distinguished Concerts International New York) 10th anniversary season, a popular producer of world-class classical choral concerts, is The Sacred and the Profane, featuring the New York premiere of Gospel Trinity, written by African American composer Rosephanye Powell and conducted by William Powell, followed by Carl Orff's Carmina Burana conducted by maestro Jonathan Griffith. The program juxtaposes the sacred in Powell's composition with the profane in Orff's masterpiece.

Rhinebeck Writers Retreat is presenting a private reading of the new musical, THE PROXY MARRIAGE, book and lyrics by Michele Lowe and music and lyrics by Adam Gwon, on May 7 in New York City, which includes actors Jason Tam (Jesus Christ Superstar Live on NBC, Broadway: A Chorus Line, If/Then), Whitney Bashor (The Bridges of Madison County), Anika Larsen (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Avenue Q), and Daniel Jenkins (Mary Poppins, Billy Elliot, Big River). Penobscot Theatre Company's Dramatic Academy invites audiences to the barnyard for Babe, the Sheep-pig, the classic story of the politest pig in the pen and his unlikely rise to fame. Babe the pig proves his worth as a sheep herder with his trademark charm, narrowly avoiding becoming Farmer Hoggett's Christmas dinner. Performances will be May 11 at 5 pm, May 12 at 4 pm, and May 13 at 11 am at the Bangor Opera House.

Vineyard Theatre's Artistic Directors, Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern, release rehearsal photos before previews begin tomorrow, Friday, May 4 for the the world-premiere of THE BEAST IN THE JUNGLE. Amazon Prime Video today announced the second season of its Prime Original series Goliath, starring Golden Globe winner Billy Bob Thornton, will return on Friday, June 15. Thornton will reprise his role as Billy McBride who, after winning a huge verdict in the Borns Tech case, is reluctantly pulled back into the law when his friend's 16-year-old son is arrested for a double homicide. However, as Billy, Patty (Nina Arianda, Florence Foster Jenkins) and the team start to investigate what appears to be an open and shut murder case, they begin to untangle a deadly conspiracy in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles, where drugs, real estate and politics intermingle. Once again, Billy finds himself facing a new Goliath, one that is as formidable as the city's mayoral race and as tall as the skyline itself. Thornton won the 2017 Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series for Goliath's first season.

Sundance Institute's Theatre Lab kicks off on May 6th, and today announced this year's participating acting company and creative advisors. The Lab, which runs through May 27 at the Fellah Hotel outside Marrakech, Morocco, is supervised by Artistic Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, and is the centerpiece of the Institute's year-round work with the theatre community, alternating locations between Sundance Resort in Utah and a venue in the Middle East/North African region, as part of a multi-year commitment to international work and a means of facilitating cultural exchange between artists writing in English and Arabic.
