BABE, THE SHEEP-PIG Promises A Rip Snorting Good Time

Penobscot Theatre Company's Dramatic Academy invites audiences to the barnyard for Babe, the Sheep-pig, the classic story of the politest pig in the pen and his unlikely rise to fame. Babe the pig proves his worth as a sheep herder with his trademark charm, narrowly avoiding becoming Farmer Hoggett's Christmas dinner. Performances will be May 11 at 5 pm, May 12 at 4 pm, and May 13 at 11 am at the Bangor Opera House.

"This story is a delightful ending to our season of after-school programming and our young thespians have really enjoyed hamming it up!" said Director of Education Amy Roeder.

Thirty-six young performers comprise the cast, ranging in age from 4 to 13, including: Madeline Allen (Hermon), Christopher Barrett (Hampden), Luka Bogolyubov (Hampden), Ashley Burger (Hampden), Sophia Crespo (Bangor), Brooklyn Davis (Hampden), Samuel Dineen (Bangor), Reilly Ell (Old Town), Ian Eskesen (Hampden), Beatrix Foster (Veazie), Eben Francis (Indian Island), Allison Hale (Bangor), Bethany Hummel (Bangor), Lily Jenkins (Glenburn), Derrick Johnson (Hampden), Maia Johnson (Hampden), Hunter Laferriere (Old Town), AJ Layman (Hampden), Cammie Layman (Hampden), Zoe Lundy (Bangor), Sophia Merchan (Bangor), Delilah Miller (Stetson), Lilianne Montgomery-Rice (Hampden), Annie Moran (Hampden), Easnadh Nobel T'oolo (Brewer), Selig Nobel T'oolo (Brewer), Anna Paradis (Ellsworth), Kyla Payson (Dedham), Inanna Piccininni (Bangor), Gwyneth Ravenscraft (Bangor), Olivia Robertson (Bangor), Nadia Rodriguez (Bangor), Sophia Schroepfer (Hampden), Emma Tzovarras (Bangor), Natalie Tzovarras (Bangor) and Iris Wentworth (Winterport).
