Lucy Durack and Jemma Rix are joining the cast of the world's favourite musical, The Wizard of Oz, to play Glinda the Good Witch and The Wicked Witch of the West respectively, alongside Anthony Warlow who will be playing The Wizard and Professor Marvel.

Producers John Frost and Suzanne Jones are delighted to announce that Lucy Durack and Jemma Rix are joining the cast of the world's favourite musical, The Wizard of Oz, to play Glinda the Good Witch and The Wicked Witch of the West respectively, alongside Anthony Warlow who will be playing The Wizard and Professor Marvel.

The witching hour was brought forward by a margin over the weekend when four of Australia's most wicked and wonderful took the stage backed by the magical Sydney Symphony Orchestra for a most spellbinding concert full of passion, humour and sonic sorcery. OK that's all the magic puns I swear!

77 years ago, 'The Wizard of Oz' changed the game for what it meant to be a witch. Since, we've had Maleficent, Samantha, Witchiepoo, Sabrina Spellman, The Halliwell Sisters, Willow, Thessaly, Hermione Granger, Fiona Good and Melisandre, among many others. What is it about these women that so enthrals us? One can imagine a little insight will be shed this coming July when four of Australia's most renowned witches will take the stage of Sydney Opera House and cast a chorus of the songs we've all come to treasure as the musical anthems of some incredibly powerful women. Fortunate enough to be granted audience with Helen Dallimore, Lucy Durack, Amanda Harrison, and Jemma Rix, Witches with your SSO is sure to transcend their wicked performances for a truly enchanting audience experience.

It was announced today that leading Australian musical theatre performer Ben Lewis will return from London to join Australia's very own Witches of Wicked and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for the world premiere of Witches in July.

The 1990 movie of love beyond death is bought to the stage with GHOST THE MUSICAL.

With some spectacular visual effects and thrilling performances, Ghost the musical opened at the Regent Theatre last night in front of an appreciative audience. From the outset Jon Driscoll's video projections set the scene for what is a particularly clever musical both optically and emotionally. While Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard's score isn't overtly memorable there are some stunning melodies that capture characters inner thoughts and feelings and move the action forward, staying faithful to the original film with Bruce Joel Rubin adapting his original screenplay for the stage.

Jemma Rix as Molly and Rob Mills as Sam are an ideal duo.

The supernatural power of love will explode onto the Australian stage in GHOST THE MUSICAL, directed by Matthew Warchus, starting today 8 January 2016, headed by ROB MILLS as 'Sam Wheat', JEMMA RIX as 'Molly Jensen' (Wicked fans will be overjoyed), ALEX RATHGEBER as 'Carl Bruner' (direct from his Helpmann Award Winning performance in Anything Goes) and introducing remarkable British theatrical and television actress WENDY MAE BROWN as 'Oda Mae Brown' (the role made famous by Whoopi Goldberg).

The Producers of GHOST THE MUSICAL have just announced that after an exhaustive casting process by Tony Award-winning director Matthew Warchus, a cast has been assembled.

The 2015 Rob Guest Endowment Grand Final Concert will be held on Monday 9 November at the Sydney Lyric Theatre. Hosted by Lucy Durack and David Campbell, guest artists performing at the concert will include musical theatre performers Rob Mills and Jemma Rix, Dirty Dancing star Mark Vincent, 2014 Rob Guest Endowment winner Joshua Robson, and cast members from Matilda and Cats.
