NBC's 'Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' will rebroadcast the musical performance by the cast of the Tony Award-winning production A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER tonight, June 26th. Other guest appearances on the show will include Jennifer Lawrence and Craig Robinson.
Back in April, I had the pleasure of reviewing A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER (Original Broadway Cast Recording). My initial thoughts were that the recording was witty and intriguing, but without the context of the show I couldn't really connect with it. Conversely, I got to see a recent performance of the Tony Award winning comedic musical. Upon revisiting the album, I can't shake most of the deliciously clever songs.

In a special, unprecedented ceremony, fans were invited to hold the 2014 Tony® Award for Best Musical and pose for photos in front of the theater (219 West 48th Street). On the heels of its Tony® Award win for Best Musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murderwill bring its award home to the Walter Kerr Theatre on Wednesday, June 18, to allow fans to pose with the prized medallion immediately following that day's matinee performance. In a special, unprecedented ceremony beginning at 4:45 p.m., fans will be invited to hold the 2014 Tony® Award for Best Musical and pose for photos in front of the theater (219 West 48th Street). This event is open to the public, and will end at 6:00 p.m.
As previously reported, the Tony Awards Administration Committee determined that Best Sound Design of a Play and Best Sound Design of a Musical Categories would be eliminated from the established list of competitive categories, beginning with the 2014-2015 season. The Tony Administration Committee may bestow a Special Tony Award to a production when it determines that extraordinary sound design has been achieved.

The film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical JERSEY BOYS will hit theaters on June 20th. Directed by Clint Eastwood, JERSEY BOYS, written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, features the music and lyrics of Bob Gaudio & Bob Crewe. Golden Globe and Tony Award-winning actor Hugh Jackman returned last night to host THE 68TH ANNUAL TONY® AWARDS, broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on the CBS Television Network.
