Written by Mike Bartlett, directed by James Macdonald and starring Jason Butler Harner as M, Amanda Quaid as W, Cory Michael Smith as John and Cotter Smith as F, COCK is playing Off-Broadway at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project. New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo and Noor Theatre Artistic Director Lameece Isaaq, Executive Director Maha Chehlaoui, and Producing Director Nancy Vitale have announced that the world premiere of Food and Fadwa, written by Lameece Issaq and Jacob Kader, and directed by Shana Gold, begins performances tonight, Friday, May 18, 2012, at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. The opening night is scheduled for Thursday, June 7. Food and Fadwa is a co-production with Noor Theatre, a company-in-residence at New York Theatre Workshop.

Following the partnership on Ron Howard's RUSH, also to be released through Cross Creek's distribution deal with Universal Pictures, the first film being produced and financed under this new far reaching arrangement is the thriller A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES starring Liam Neeson (TAKEN).

"DANNY and SYLVIA: THE Danny Kaye MUSICAL", the long-running musical at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street, which opened May 13, 2008, will close tonight, April 27th after a special added performance at 1 PM. The musical would have celebrated its 3rd anniversary this May.

Just announced is word that the 2012 Tony Awards Nominations Announcement will be co-hosted by Tony winning actress Kristin Chenoweth and Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Jim Parsons on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

Just released tonight is the first trailer for Aaron Sorkin's new HBO drama, 'The Newsroom' a new hour long series premiering this June that centers on the behind-the-scenes workings of a cable news statio. The series is filled with theatre vets and will star Jeff Daniels as the show's anchorman, Emily Mortimer as his executive producer, Sam Waterson as the station's boss and a newsroom staff that includes actors Alison Pill, John Gallagher, Jr., Olivia Munn, Dev Patel and Thomas Sadoski. Award-winning actress Jane Fonda also is in the cast as the network parent company's CEO, Leona Lansing.

Gilbert Films announced today that their next theatrical film project, YOU ARE HERE, will start production in May 2012 in North Carolina.
