DOGS, SCHOOLYARDS, DETECTIVES, AND SWAMP JUICE! CHILDREN’S PRODUCTIONS TAKE CENTRE STAGE AT QPAC

Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) is the place to be from May to July this year for children and their adults with four fantastic family shows on offer. 

No matter how old you are, there is always time to have fun.

To keep the kids entertained these Summer school holidays, Monkey Baa Theatre Company will present Slapdash Galaxy, the latest work from the award-winning Bunk Puppets (Swamp Juice and Sticks Stones Broken Bones), at Lendlease Darling Quarter Theatre from 23rd to 25th January.

This summer imaginations will run wild when Monkey Baa Theatre Company presents Bunk Puppets' Swamp Juice, opening for the first time in Sydney at the Lendlease Darling Quarter Theatre, from January 17th to 21st.

"We've been thrilled to support eight projects this year that we feel are as diverse in form and approach as the Fringe itself. There's everything from an experience in hidden tunnels under the city, to a performance using the latest interactive possibilities of the smartphone," said Mr Haren

During its special holiday engagement at the Barrow Street Theatre, 27 Barrow Street, 'Swamp Juice' will offer post-show workshops on the weekends that teach parents and their kids how to recycle everyday household items into richly detailed shadow puppets. Jeff Achtem, the internationally acclaimed puppet innovator from Melbourne Australia, leads these hands-on workshops on three Saturdays -- December 6, 13 and 27 and one Sunday -- December 21.

The Barrow Street Theatre will present an eclectic mix of comedy, improv, 3D shadow puppetry, and master storytelling all in their upcoming Fall season which also marks the theatre's 10th anniversary. All work will be presented at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street) in New York City's West Village.
