On Monday, December 1st the 2014 Shaw New York Critics' Symposium was held at The Players Club before a sold out crowd. A team of critics examine the ever-changing needs of their field, how their world has changed and how they predict their roles in the arts will continue to evolve. This panel included Joe Dziemianowicz (NY Daily News), Adam Feldman (TimeOut NY), Frank Rizzo (Hartford Courant/Variety), David Rooney (The Hollywood Reporter), Elisabeth Vincentelli (New York Post), and Jason Zinoman (The New York Times), moderated by Frank Rizzo (Hartford Courant). Gingold Theatrical Group presents these events annually. Gingold Theatrical Group is a human rights arts organization using the work of George Bernard Shaw as its guide. As George Bernard Shaw began his theatrical career as a critic and arts journalist, GTG presents this annual forum for critics to meet and discuss their world in front of an audience. This event was part of Gingold Theatrical Group's Shaw New York 2014 festival, which includes the now-running production of Shaw's MAJOR BARBARA at the Pearl Theatre Company. GTG's Shaw Symposium will take place on Monday, December 8th at The Players. The festival's Shaw Concert (with the Tesla Quartet) happens on Monday, December 15th, also at The Players. New York Comedy Festival Adds 60 Shows to Lineup - Jim Gaffigan, Ilana Glazer, Pete Holmes and More!

The New York Comedy Festival (NYCF), in association with Comedy Central, announced today the addition of more than 60 shows including Comics to Watch, the New York's Funniest Stand-Up competition finals, and events featuring Jim Gaffigan, Bob Odendkirk, Pete Holmes and Sommore. In addition NYCF in partnership with The Paley Center for Media announced three new dynamic panel discussions with the creative teams behind the hit shows "Late Show with David Letterman," "Inside Amy Schumer" and "Broad City;" The 11th annual festival runs from November 5 - 9 at more than 20 venues throughout New York City.

This is the American premiere of John Van Druten's "rivetingly entertaining" (The Guardian) romantic drama, which opened Monday February 24th. Davis McCallum, who staged the 2012 Pulitzer-Prize winning play Water by the Spoonful at Second Stage, as well as the award-winning production of The Whale at Playwrights Horizons, directs.

Italy's Dario D'Ambrosi is a radical innovator of the theater and founder of the movement called Teatro Patologico (Pathological Theater). Having staged revolutionary interpretations of 'Richard III' in 1996 and 'Romeo and Juliet' in 2009, he is now taking on 'Hamlet' with a new full-length work, 'Hamlet Hallucinations.' La Mama E.T.C., D'Ambrosi's theatrical home in the USA, will present the work's world premiere tonight, October 17 to November 3.

Gingold Theatrical Group's SHAW NEW YORK 2013 festival concludes on Sunday October 13th. It has been highlighted by GTG's co-production of Shaw's You Never Can Tell with and at The Pearl Theatre Company. This production, which was filmed for the New York Library for the Performing Arts and Lincoln Center archives, is ending its limited run on Sunday October 13th.

The Pearl Theatre Company kicks off its 30th anniversary season-the second season in its new home on West 42nd Street-with the first New York revival in 15 years of George Bernard Shaw's You Never Can Tell in a co-production with the Gingold Theatrical Group that is directed by David Staller. Running today, September 3-October 13, the show's sumptuous costumes, elegant settings and Shavian wit will raise a champagne toast to a year of celebration at The Pearl, where Shaw, following Shakespeare, has been the second most produced playwright in The Pearl's history. The production is also the centerpiece of the Shaw New York 2013 festival.
