Producer Rain Pryor is currently starring in her own critically acclaimed, solo autobiographical show "Fried Chicken and Latkes" and joins director Stephen Bishop Seely ("8 Million Protagonists") on the project. Rock WILK wrote and composed BROKE WIDE OPEN. Rain Pryor, actress, singer, comedian, director and author of Jokes My Father Never Taught Me, Life Love and Loss with Richard Pryor, has signed on as lead producer of BROKE WIDE OPEN. The off-broadway production stars spoken-word artist Rock WILK, who has turned the emotionally-charged search for his biological mother into an autobiographical solo play, punctuated by his own hip-hop compositions. BROKE WIDE OPEN is also presented by '500 Names," a grass-roots social media and fundraising effort for the New York City premiere. The show opens tonight, November 9th at The 45th Street Theatre (354 West 45th Street; Tuesday through Sunday at 8pm; Wednesday & Saturday matinees at 2pm). (more...)

New ReVision Theatre Art Exhibit Opens 6/19

ReVision Theatre is the subject of a new art exhibit, ?ReVisual: The Collaborative Work of ReVision Theatre?, featuring the works of designers, photographers, scenic painters, and public artists who have contributed to the overall design of ReVision Theatre?s theatrical productions. The exhibit is an inside look of the process that takes place before the opening of a show. The art show will run June 19 through July 19 at local restaurant, Market in the Middle, 516 Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park, New Jersey. Artists whose work will be on display include Kip Marsh, Sarita Fellows, Russell Schramm, Kathy Polenberg, Jason Sisino, and Chris Hartsgrove and feature designs and work from Hair, Scrooge in Rouge, Hello, Dolly!, and Kingdom.
