Abingdon Theatre Company continues its Page2Stage Reading Series with TEMPLE OF THE DOG by Tom Dillehay at Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex (312 West 36th Street) on Monday, September 23 at 7:30pm. The staged reading is free and open to the public. No reservations are necessary. Mark Finley (TOSOS) directs.

Timmy The Great bills itself as 'a madcap musical for revolutionaries of all ages.' One could easily interpret this as meaning: It's for children from the Upper West Side. Actually, there's much here that anyone could enjoy. The show, based on a 1999 children's book about a kingdom where the adults and children switch roles, is stuffed full -- too full -- of lively dancing, tuneful songs and inspired clowning.

5th Floor Productions will revive the musical Assassins for a limited run at the Hudson Guild Theatre in Chelsea. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by John Weidman, Assassins will open June 22nd for six performances through June 26th.
