2017 Sundance Film Festival Awards Celebrate Global Independent Creative

After 10 days, 119 feature films and three feet of snow, an evening of humor and humanity marked the 2017 Sundance Film Festival's Awards Ceremony, with host Jessica Williams emceeing and jurors presenting 27 prizes for feature filmmaking in Park City, Utah. Honorees, named in total below, range from sharp comedies to provocative and timely documentaries and represent new achievements in global independent storytelling. Human stories prevailed across categories, with Grand Jury Prizes awarded to Dina (U.S. Documentary), Last Men in Aleppo (World Documentary), I don't feel at home in this world anymore. (U.S. Dramatic) and The Nile Hilton Incident (World Dramatic). Chasing Coral, showcased in the Festival's environmental program The New Climate, won an Audience Award in the U.S. Documentary category.

Harbor Lights Theater Honors Steadfast Supporters at Show/Fundraiser

Hollywood Producer and Past Board Chairman Julius Nasso will receive Harbor Lights 'Culture Award' for his contributions to culture in our borough, which include the creation of The Staten Island Film Festival, and over five years of service to Harbor Lights, including a term as Board President.

STAGE TUBE: CHICAGO Debuts Music Video for CAROLS FOR A CURE Tune 'Holiday Melody'

Cast members of Chicago, the longest-running American musical on Broadway, are launching a music video today, December 5, 2016, to accompany their original song 'Holiday Melody,' which appears on the 2016 edition of the annual Carols for a Cure album. All proceeds from the album benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Watch the video below!

The cast of Chicago, Broadway's longest running musical, is celebrating this production's twentieth birthday today! For this momentous day, the cast are taking to the streets, with a free concert at SummerStage in Central Park. Doors open at 7PM and the show begins at 8PM. We were lucky enough to catch up with some of the cast as they made their final preparations for today's show.

On Today, August 31st, the cast of Broadway's Longest Running American Musical will celebrate its 20th Year on Broadway with a free concert at SummerStage in Central Park.

FIGHTING SHADOWS with Emmy Nominee Richard Cabral to Play Rosenthal Theater

 Jami Gertz in Association with Homeboy Industries and The Rosenthal Theater at Inner-City Arts are thrilled to present the world premiere of a new play with music, FIGHTING SHADOWS, co-written and performed by 2015 Emmy nominee Richard Cabral ("American Crime"), with musical collaboration by Rocio Mendoza and directed and co-written by Robert Egan.  FIGHTING SHADOWS will preview on Friday, April 15 at 8pm and will open on Saturday, April 16 at 7pm and run through Sunday, May 8 at the Rosenthal Theater at Inner City Arts, 720 Kohler Street in Los Angeles, 90021.
