Robert ('Bob') Ullman (left), the legendary theatre press agent, whose career included Ethel Merman and Mary Martin: Together on Broadway, A Chorus Line (from workshop to Public Theater to Broadway), Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne in The Visit, Lauren Bacall in Cactus Flower, The Dining Room, Driving Miss Daisy, Sunday in the Park with George, and over 150 additional Broadway and off-Broadway plays and musicals, died on July 31, 2019 in Bayshore, Long Island, New York. He was 97. The cause of death was cardiac arrest. Bob's death was announced by Rev. Joshua Ellis, a long-time Ullman friend, a former Broadway press agent, and now, an Interspiritual minister.

It's not very often you get to write a review for a locally written, composed and produced musical theatre production. The story of Weather The Storm was written by local writer Tracy Frank and she also wrote lyrics for the songs. Local music composer Topher Williams wrote the music and also wrote lyrics. This show is a fictional tale based on real events. It takes place in Fargo, North Dakota around June of 1957 when the historic tornado hit the area that left 12 people dead, over 100 injured and destroyed more than 1,300 homes.

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy that Jackie Sibblies Drury's Fairview has officially won the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Robert Lepage makes a thrilling Stratford Festival debut with Shakespeare's Coriolanus, featuring Andre Sills in the title role. Created in collaboration with Ex Machina, the production begins previews this Saturday, June 9, at the Avon Theatre, and runs until October 20, marking its official opening on June 22.

A high-flying sci-fi comedy will make its world premiere at the 2018 KC Fringe Festival, July 19-29. Inspired by a forgotten comic book character created in 1939, "Rex Dexter of Mars" is an epic misadventure in time and space, filled with exploding planets, sinister alien bad guys, killer robots and ray gun-slinging heroes. Written by Darrell Brogdon, the play will be presented in the form of a 1930s radio serial, with live sound effects and actors performing multiple roles, at City Stage/Union Station.

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy that Martyna Majok's COST OF LIVING has officially won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The Unraveling, Ails' debut album (April 20, The Flenser), is more than just the ghost of vocalist Laure Shanaman and guitarist/vocalist Christy Cather former band, Ludicra. It stands firmly on its own, offering an intense synthesis of raucous black metal and melodic death metal driven by the formidable dueling vocals of Shanaman and Cather. In 2015, the duo's desire to play the music they love brought them together with like-minded friends Sam Abend (Abrupt, Desolation), Colby Bryn (2084, One In The Chamber), and Jason Miller (Phantom Limbs).  

After Bay Area avant-garde cornerstones Ludicra called it quits in 2011, most of the band continued with their other musical endeavors, but former vocalist Laurie Shanaman and guitar player/vocalist Christy Cather haven't resurfaced in a big way until now.
