Casting is announced for 'That Championship Season' at Westport Country Playhouse, the first production to be directed by Mark Lamos since he was named artistic director in February 2009 at the historic theater in Westport, Connecticut. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award and New York Drama Critics Circle Award, 'That Championship Season' by Jason Miller will run August 25 through September 12.

Mark Lamos will direct 'That Championship Season' at Westport Country Playhouse, his first production since being named artistic director in February 2009 at the historic theater in Westport, Connecticut. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award and New York Drama Critics Circle Award, 'That Championship Season' by Jason Miller will be the fifth production in the Playhouse's six-play 2009 season. It will run August 25 through September 12.
The REP Accepts Equity Principal Auditions For THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON 6/10

The REP, Point Park University's professional theatre company, is accepting Equity Principal Auditions by appointment for the upcoming production of That Championship Season, written by Jason Miller and directed by Robert A. Miller. Appointments will be accepted on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Davis' MASS APPEAL Opens At South Camden Theater Co 2/6

The South Camden Theatre Company, Inc. a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Camden, New Jersey will perform 'Mass Appeal' written by Bill C. Davis beginning February 6 through Sunday February 22, 2009. Mr. Davis will also visit South Camden Theatre Company for a special meet and greet session following the opening night performance on Friday, February 6, 2009.
Director for the show and Producing Artistic Director of South Camden Theatre Company Joseph M. Paprzycki states, 'Mass Appeal' is a classic dramatic-comedy of two priests that clash over the traditional and modern Catholic ideology; touching on the ongoing dialogue between both clergy and parishioners which shows how we can lose ourselves and what is essential in our humanity, and how we can find redemption in letting go of our fears. I am honored to have the opportunity for our audience to speak directly with Bill C. Davis and gain insight into a new version of his classic play'.
Author Bill C. Davis states, 'I'm looking forward to hearing these subtle revisions in my play with the good people of Camden'.
Performances will be held on Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 1:30pm at the South Camden Theatre Company's stage currently located in the basement theater of the Sacred Heart Church in Camden, New Jersey. Jason Miller's drama That Championship Season, which in 1973 became one of the only plays to win the Best Play Tony, the New York Drama Critics Award, and the Pulitzer Prize, will be re-imagined for its new run at the American Century Theater.
